Recently the podcast seems to be hitting its sweet spot. The Lisa and Sandra Wednesdays are cool, and Darien and Christine on the other days with them is as well! I was super disappointed in the initial transition but it seems like feedback was taken šš»
this podcast is amazing!! i listen to it all the time and i agree a lot with yāall about what u say about the uswnt BUT some stuff not so much.. like for example, Alex Morgan is amazing!! please understand that she deserves a spot on the Olympics roster!! thatās my opinion. I think sheās AMAZING on the San Diego wave and the uswnt i think her talent should be used at the Olympics on the uswnt. The uswnt is also sort of rebuilding rn so that also means getting younger and newer players, but we need at least a couple of veterans!! (including Alex Morgan)
that is my opinion and this doesnāt rly have a lot to do w the podcast but i hope yāall understand. Love the podcast!!! go attacking third!! (aka my fav podcast) Jesus loves u!!!! ā¤ļøāØ
Have jumped in and out of this podcast since the beginning and I wish I couldnāt feel the ācompany lineā strings as well as friendship to players in their assessments of play and teams. Has gotten better vs when they were first partnered up, but still feel it. That and are you seriously telling me only one of three had last yearās shield winners in the 2024 playoff prediction, even after singing their praises in the first preview episode? Come on nowā¦
If you want all the leagues and all the headlines, this is the podcast to listen to. Plenty of others focus on one league or another, but this one has great commentary on all of them.
I listened early on and really liked Sandra and Lisaās chemistry which is what hooked me. They do good work and have great analysis and interesting opinions. The new format of the āpodcastā does not offer the same conversational style between friends that I came to enjoy. I like the new voices and CBSā investment into covering the womenās game but I canāt listen to this. Bring back the small scale conversational style with these new analyst and commentators and then Iāll be back.
Look, this show used to be a bright spot in a long week. But the current format is pointless. The analysis isnāt as good and the show has been fully co-opted by women who donāt really know that much about the NWSL and are mostly talking about the European teams. I want Sandra Herrera back. (Lisaās fine, but Sandraās where itās at.) I just unfollowed the podcast for the record ā listening to this isnāt worth anyoneās time.
This was the best womenās soccer podcast, but then they went and changed the format which has made it unlistenable to me. Too many people talking over each other, fake banter, and too little analysis. What is this mess, and why the format change??? I tried to stick with it but have unsubscribed now. Bring back Sandra and Lisa!
Subscribed since first episode because of Sandra Herrera. She knows how to deliver. I canāt handle the new format and unsubscribed. Please give Sandra Herrera her own podcast. Thank you.
Iāve been a loyal listener since the debut of this podcast. Iām not a fan of the format change. Recording the audio of a television show is not the same as recording an actual podcast. Please bring back Sandra and the original podcast!
Revised 9/12/23: ā¦..and changed it from a go to, in depth, daily listen to a rebroadcast of a slick, corporatized (read soulless) tv show. Without Sandra we get a tiny fraction of the information and analysis we once got. The presenters engage in fake forced banter. They also talk over one another (ok for tv but not on a podcast). From 5 stars down to 1. There is not much out there in WOSO coverage so something has to really be wrong for me to give a bad review. CBS can afford to pay Sandra (and give her a crew) to do this podcast but we get no Sandra and a rebroadcast of a tv show instead.
Please bring back Lisa and Sandra as two sole co-hosts. I miss the detail in their coverage of NWSL game tactics and current events and their cameraderie. I listened to every episode before and now can barely get through one in the overproduced new format.
I listen to several women's soccer podcasts so gave this one a try. This is by far the worst. There's one person who doesn't seem to know what she's talking about who talks over the others who do seem to know. The whole thing feels overly produced and superficially slick.
on the 8/6 U.S. vs. Sweden recap. While the results of the game were disappointing, it was nice to hear Sandraās reassuring voice. Iāve listened to this podcast from the beginning specifically because of Sandra. I was a fan of her Southside Trap podcast and was excited to listen to this podcast. The new format lacks the heart, soul and passion that Sandra brought to this podcast in every episode.
I preferred the originally A3 style with Lisa and Sandra chatting. The new format doesnāt work as well for a podcast and thereās not enough Sandra. I wish they could have the tv show on Goalzo & the original podcast with Sandra & Lisa.
I loved listening to Lisa and Sandra during my mornings! Their recap and predictions were perfect for me in such a casual atmosphere with friendly banter. However, this new format came so abruptly and although I know itās important to have a show dedicated to womenās footy, I wish it was its own separate thing or even a continuation of the original podcast. I miss Sandra. We need more Sandra, again.
Love this move to become a dedicated 3x/week āsemi-Dailyā WoSo show on the Golazo Network. What made the original podcast/YouTube series so unique/important in this space was the dedication to a daily format to grow a community. Now itās perfectly poised to grow alongside the anticipated explosive growth of the WoSo ecosystem over the next 3 years. Looking forward to 5x/week ha ha.
Long time listener of this pod with Lisa and Sandra. This change was abruptā¦not really digging these new talking heads so far. Is it a good step for the womenās game to have a TV show? Yeah. But I prefer the real talk and casual vibe. Not sure Iāll keep listening.
I really want a good womenās soccer podcast but this one is very disappointing. It is twice as long as it needs to be. They are so repetitive and there is generally low information content. Iād kill to have a pod like the one Rebecca Lowe and Brendan Hunt did during the World Cup. That one was fun, fast and informative.
My friends ask me how I know so much about the NWSL and even some of the international players and I tell them to listen to this podcast! Sandra me Lisa keep it light but you also know they have done their homework. Thanks for making my daily commute in Philly traffic more bearable.
As a CRS fan I am disappointed at how little is being written about or reported on the teamās situation. Arnim facilitated some real atrocities on our players and, except for Claire Watkinsā deep dive, thereās been little news. Why? Why not provide more pressure? Why not provide more exposition? Our beloved players deserve so much more! The past two years have seen an exodus of talent. I donāt blame the players for not wanting to put up with this crud. If we donāt get more efficient results with an effective transition, the team will be toast!
I have really enjoyed listening to A3 since it started. Itās my favorite WoSo podcast. Also, since I had to lock my Twitter, I wanted to wish Sandra a HAPPY MI BURRITO SABANERO SEASON, and may all of your senderos be iluminados during this wonderful time of the year. Lisa, may your holidays be merry and bright! Defender hive!
Love this content and listen or watch on youtube often. The guests are often great. They cover everything NWSL and womenās soccer. I do wish Sandra would reign in her filibustering though. She can really go on and on sometimes without letting Lisa get a word in. For multiple minutes at a time sometimes. And when you watch on youtube, you can see Lisa has more to add about a subject but then Sandra keeps going and changes the subject. More balance would earn the pod more stars. That said, great content. Great work!
Outstanding show with great chemistry between the hosts. I love how they dissect games and preview matchups. Other podcasts may do this too, but these two do it so well.
I love the frequency and topics of this podcast, itās exactly what NWSL and USWNT needed.
I do think the analysis could go a bit more in-depth, sometimes it seems like an NWSL player is assessed solely on if they are scoring goals or not. I love when they have guests, Aly Wagner and Lori Linsey provide great insight. Also, one of the main hosts is long winded and repetitive with filler phrases so the guest hosts help to break that up.
I can't get enough of Lisa and Sandra! I love how they attempt to make sense of this league that never seems to go as one thinks. Great hosts and interviewers! Keep up the great work!!
@agoodjuan
I want to know what is your favorite players on the field my favorite player is Lindsey Horan how many years is Lindsey going to play with the Thorns or how long her Contract is
Iāve been enjoying every show and the in-depth league and national team coverage. A cool show idea could be, āone trade that every NWSL team should make.ā Cheers!
This podcast goes deep on the NWSL and USWNT! Hosts Sandra Herrera and Lisa Roman have incredible knowledge of the league, the players and the teams. We hear insightful match analysis and discussion of issues in play that affect womenās soccer. Great rapport between the hosts and really fun special guests. Love Attacking Third!
Lisa and Sandra bring great energy and insightful commentary to NWSL coverage without trying to be edgy like so many other sports commentators.
Question: how many more mediocre white male coaches must this league suffer or are those days finally behind us?
I was excited about this pod to start but it seemed to have become a surface level retelling of the weekly games. Great if you are a new fan or to play for kids but not engaging as a soccer fan who knows and understands the game. Listening it often feels like the hosts are simply giving an eye test of players and games, and on more than one occasion I have found them to be critical of players performance in games when those players have produced excellent stats during the match. Other than player interviews, which they are fortunate to get due to their CBS production, I donāt think itās worth the hour long listen.
