The Hustle Daily Show

Reviews For The Hustle Daily Show

This lively, sprightly, fast-paced show actually makes business news fun. And one of the ways this show’s stable of hosts make business news fun is by offering opinionated takes on off-the-beaten-path or under-the-radar subjects. If this is what the money the company I work for spends on HubSpot goes towards, then yeah, spend more of it.
This has been an interesting podcast to learn about issues in tech that I wouldn’t have known much about. I particularly liked the episodes on EV, grief tech and AI. I appreciate Sara Friedman’s perspective and it’s helpful to have a woman on the podcast to keep me more engaged. I tend to tune out listening to just men talk on podcasts, but she really adds interesting commentary and is more enjoyable to listen to!
The majority of the co-hosts need some training on being an on-air personality. Sara Friedman's vocal fry is distracting to no end, which is a shame, because the woman has solid takes on a lot of these topics. But I find myself having to skip entire segments of an already short show because the vocal fry bothers my ears. Important to note that I listen to many podcast and can sit through much vocal fry, but hers just happens to be unbearable. Any host that is going to carry the episode needs to understand that they have to sometimes push beyond their personality for the sake of sounding engaging and interesting. The disinterested tone of voice and monotony turn an audience off, no matter how interesting the subject matter.
For that one correspondent - if you’re gonna be on air, please take a deep breath and quit the vocal fry. Unlistenable.
"What's going on on business and tech". The show has been going down fast. Nothing to do with the initial episodes with more and better content and comments. Currently, the hosts, while they have a good idea of marketing and advertising (and "content creation"), they miss many of the business "why's" that are behind. On the tech side, they display a lack of technical knowledge as they fail to grasp the concepts, and the implications of technologies. Two stars because you still get some news and info that you are unlikely to get on the FT, WSJ, MIT, etc, podcasts. Those are somehow interesting. A real turn-off is that the host seem to think that everyone works doing the same as them, writing stories in a co-working space, Starbucks, or at home. Again, their idea of businesses is completely askew. For you to write about all these stories, someone needs to make that happen, CEOs, techies, bankers, investors, accountants... The constant whining of some of the hosts is also quite unbearable. Again, get a real job then, and you will understand what you are trying to write about. Interestingly enough, they share that they (some) have never worked in an office or any other business before. To be able to write about stuff, you need to have done your time and know about it. Unfortunately it is one of many podcasts with self-appointed experts that they really don't know much about anything (except "content creation" based on real journalist's stories).
I was drawn to this podcast because of its compelling topics and rich content, which I genuinely enjoy. The discussions are enlightening and offer a lot to learn and have conversations around. However, I have to mention that Sara Friedman's voice has a very noticeable squeaky hinge quality to it that I find extremely distracting. I genuinely tried to continue listening because the content is great, but there were moments where it became too much for my ears, almost as if she’s suffocating. I believe that podcasters should meet certain voice criteria to ensure a smooth and enjoyable listening experience for all. The content is strong, but the delivery could use some refinement for it to reach its full potential.
Great show with a modern twist delivering business & tech news. I like Rob Litterest and Juliet Bennet Rylah as the hosts the most of all of them - when they team up it’s golden! The other hosts are really good as well but those two are my fave.
The crew on the September 11 show are terrible. Sam is a borderline moron.

Yup

Nice
It's great to catch up on the days interesting news in like 10 mins. Easy add.
Hi there, I have been listening for a while, found your podcast quite entertaining. Recently though, I also have to listen to this stupid, spoken ad, targeted at some imbecile youngsters who like to make fun of older people? Just FYI: I’m a grandma, working in the field of A.I., on a scientific level. And what is it, you have achieved? Apart from reading stuff other people wrote and talking about it.
I’ve been listening since the beginning, never a dull moment and I’m thankful for the coffee talk when I get to the office. Great job!
I'm only listening if it's Jacob Cohen. If it ain't cracka-lackin, I ain't listening.
I listen every morning and at first I loved the content but recently I feel like the topics have grown a bit tired. This is supposed to be about business and tech but we’ve heard about the raise in egg prices like 5 times in the past month.
Great, unbiased, daily news podcast- especially for those not familiar with tech and business world
After listening to two weeks of the Podcasts, and doing my own research, I realized that a lot of the topics they talk about are misinforming. Either not having the full picture of an issue they discuss or just blatantly being incorrect and only speaking for what their perception is. They seem like nice, fun people though!
I love this podcast and it has become part of my daily listening. Each episode is brief and generally in two parts. A couple tech business news headlines and then a longer segment on a current events topic in the tech business realm. The guests are well informed and the interviews/discussions have a quick pace.
The Nudge ads are so repetitive. Please stop!!
Every morning on my way to work, I check this app to see if there’s a new episode. And if there isn’t, I’ll just listen to an older episode. This show brings joy to my day, and I love hearing about business news and tech trends in a way that’s quick but memorable. In the afternoons I’ll read the newsletter, which feels like a different experience than the podcast, but that adds to the value of it! Then, they publish interesting long-form articles on Sundays, so there’s that too. This is definitely my favorite business podcast!
I’ve listened to one episode and your process of introducing topics is something I would love to be able to replicate.
Keep podcast going strong, I like that it keeps me up on stuff
Stick to the TOPICS please and leave your “political views” out of it. The last few I’ve heard have been…uneducated at best. Start introducing YOUR political views and I promise you that you’ll start to lose half your audience.
Great podcast!
Great podcast! Listened for the first time today. Engaging and insightful. Gives you the top biz and tech news you need to know.
Hustle
$257 Billion? Grocery delivers worth $6 Billion? Google and YouTube growing fastest? 30% tax on crypto for 80% people in India? Emogies? Botha Bing Botha Boom The Hustle. Ok. I’m quickly (not as quickly as the birdseye view of life for the truly living) discovering that I’ve fallen and I can’t get up… or can I? The Hustle (and notepaper nearby) may be just the ticket to reawaken this dazed Rapunzel. Love the podcast! Don’t speak slower for me… I’m determined to listen fasterer.
A quick and concise why to get what you need to know. I follow your email but this helps me so much better!

If you are in tech or biz, this is for you. It is informative and empowering! Lots of insight, but not preachy. I like the discussions too. I Definitely would recommend it to people who want to be in the know.
This has such a great vibe and since it’s The Hustle i know the content will continue to be 💯. Nice work!

I’m very picky when it comes to podcasts - but this one is great! Relevant, to the point.
St. Louis native. Big Hustle fan!! Keep it up Sam.
Simply love this podcast so profoun and spit facts
The hustle podcast is the perfect morning podcast for your coffee. It’s both informative, fast and funny. Enjoyed the reference about the beanbag chair and you guys are so right about recycling. Our City only recycles two plastic things (#1 & 2) out of the eight numbers that are recyclable. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s show!
Now packed inside a podcast. Bravo. 👏
And you did! I’m always looking forward to when the next episode of My First Million drops. Now theres more content! The business insights and candid takes I get from listening to Sam and his friends are priceless. So glad to have more!
Keeps me updated with ease in my day!
