Thank you Will and Christy for shining a wonderful light on voice over. I knew nothing about it when I started listening and it’s been so fun listening to the people I watched during my childhood. The contest was so fun to listen to as well, it’s such an amazing thing to do for the voice over community.
I went from knowing absolutely nothing about voice acting to gaining a lot of respect for voice actors! The interviews with the voice actors were really interesting, and the contest was amazing! It was fascinating listening to the contestants take on all the challenges and hearing the experts’ advice, especially Andrea Romano! She was so kind, yet gave them so many tips and pointers, all while being so encouraging! So glad Mia won, she was so sweet and so fantastic! It was weird that Christy wasn’t there on the last two most important episodes and then it was announced that the series was abruptly ending. There are so many more people to interview and there could be another round of the contest next year! I hope it is brought back because I thoroughly enjoyed the podcast, and it brought light to a “hidden” group of talented actors!
I love the show it’s so Funny and awesome you guys should have on the show guests like Bill Farmer, The Voice of goofy Jim Cummings, the voice of Darkwing duck raven Symone, who voiced Monique on Kim possible and Patrick Warburton, who voiced Mr. Barken also, on Kim possible and Maurice LaMarche, who voices the brain from Animaniacs/Pinky and the brain I also can do the voices of yogi bear and Jimmy Durante, who is the narrator for the first frosty the snowman TV special and a old actor named Peter Lorre, who is in Disneys 20,000 leagues under the sea and Warner brothers Casablanca
You guys should have Alyson Court! Recently discovered that Loonette from Big Comfy Couch is also the voice of Claire Redfield and Jubilee. Mind blown.
This podcast is so much fun. I feel like I learn so much about voice acting from this podcast. I feel like I leave every episode with a great takeaway. I am not an actor, but Will and Christy make me want to be one. The podcast I didn’t know I needed.
I love this show and all the guest on it. Im looking forward to hopefully hearing Mark Hamill’s joker character because he is amazing. Please keep doing what your doing, love you guys.
I’ve always been so interested in the voice acting world, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a couple in my neck of the woods in upstate NY. The guests they have on, and even just Will and Christy on their own are so fascinating. Looking forward to more content!!
The original idea, I think, was to get to know people and explain the industry to the fans and general public. This started with an audio format with an additional video background to actually see the actors as they might act a character. This has turned into a video based format that leaves out audio listeners. Now audio listeners need to watch first so you don’t miss the visual cues. Not great for audio only.
I Hear Voices fills the void from the equally awesome Rob Paulsen’s Talkin Toons. The VO actor community seems genuinely nice, and Christy and Will are no exception. I also appreciate and respect their efforts to promote artists interested in the industry.
Keep up the great work!
I love the podcast but the volume in most of the episodes is to low to hear without turning my device volume or other speaker volume up ridiculously high.
Love this show and the nuts and bolts of VO..But, the audio is so low. Then an ad comes on and it’s so loud lol..
Turn it up a little bit please and thank you
Still get 5 stars for content
Ok I love y’all but Will TEXAS LOVES FOOTBALL. Fort Worth is Football obsessed and we have huge homecomings and the cowboys and Houston Texans have been doing well and have superbowl rings soooo I would tread carefully 😂😅
Please have the miraculous ladybug and cat noir character voices. I would like all the characters voices please
Podcast idea #2 you should have a podcast of you too and you talk to Kim and Ron and you should have a conversation with them. ( I know there played by the host of this podcast)
I could listen to you guys do an entire Kim possible radio play every week and I’m happy you are doing this it fills the void I had in my heart from the talkin toons podcast.
My two daughters grew up watching and loving Kim Possible. I watched the episodes along with them. Each of us liked different things. They would like the episodes for just the content. I’d like the inter-action between Kim and Shego; and Shego’s put-downs of Dr. Dracken. (One of my dogs is named Shego!). Great show! Great podcast! Keep it going!
I grew up watching these two wonderful humans on my favorite shows and now they’ve created one of my favorite podcasts together. They’re wonderful hosts and the behind-the-scenes expertise is so engrossing.
I grew up loving the things Will Friedle and Christy Carlson Romano did, and it’s so cool to hear them talk about their industry so passionately and with so much joy in it. It’s a real treat and a fascinating look into an imaginative, creative part of entertainment.
Did I just five star this podcast after just hearing the trailer? Yes. Yes I did! I have always wanted to get into voice acting and it’s gotten to the point whenever I read stories to my kids they ask me to just read it normally and without a voice is this time. Yes it stings a little bit but I still do some of the voices anyway.
Hey y’all please keep going and don’t STOP THIS MAGIC y’all both have😄 y’all are amazing and y’all are legends and for y’all to give us the BTS it’s amazing please don’t STOP and Will please get a IG or Twitter!!!
I look forward to each episode every week. You guys invite such fun and insightful people and I love getting a peek into that world behind the mic! Will and Christy have such a joyful vibe and connection to each other which is so lovely.
I am a nerd and also have a love for acting. My fiancé and I always do voices and he tells me I have the knack for it because I have the acting chops too. ;) Living vicariously.
This podcast fills a hole left behind by the old Talkin Toons podcast, highlighting great voice actors and going into their work and processes. Great stuff!
Christy and Will,
90’s kid here. Big fan of both of yours. Born and raised in New Haven County. Love your podcast!!
PS: Will can you get My Date with the President’s Daughter streaming?
A delightful and informative podcast for anyone who is a fan of animation voice work.
The great energy between Christy and Will carries over from their Emmy winning show. And when it comes to asking questions about what it’s like and what it takes to work on both sides of the microphone, these two veteran voice actors do a wonderful job of asking the right questions, and uncovering some interesting and amazing stories! So far, my favorite episode is the interview with Kevin Conroy a.k.a. the BEST Batman ever! Who’s got two thumbs and is super excited for their future podcast and guest? This guy, right here! Thanks KP and Ron!
Just listened to the loony tunes one and I absolutely love this podcast! A lot of nostalgia, taking me back to when I was a kid. It’s a really enjoyable podcast to listen to.
Will and Christy are phenomenal and even if you do not know the voice actor they are interviewing (If you are lame like me) they still make it fun and entertaining.

I am so thankful for this podcast. I follow Christy on YouTube. So that is how I found the podcast. I really like that they post both video and audio only renditions of the show. It allows me to listen anywhere and still he entertained. It’s a very interesting podcast. I enjoy learning about the process of voice acting. The show really perks up my day every time I listen/watch. Right now my day to day can get really stressful as I help care for my father who has cancer. I have listened to I hear voices while my dad is in PT. Dueño my stressful days I can count on Christy, Will and their guests to make me genuinely laugh; something oh so precious to me in this season. Thanks for cheering up my day.
Loved seeing you all speak with Kevin! You are all truly iconic. It was really nice to hear about each of your early days in your careers too. That was really interesting! I was and is a huge fan of the Batman animated series and Batman beyond, so this was amazing. Hope to see him come back if possible!
I’m a huge fan of animation of all types and genres, so it is very cool to hear from all these voice actors and hearing their stories and sharing their experiences. The wide range of guests so far is astounding. I appreciate that there is interaction with the audience with voicing fan submitted drawings - it’s very heartwarming. Overall, I look forward to each episode every week. Can’t wait for more!
One last thing - I demand a KP animated series reboot :) please make it happen
I did not realize how much I would enjoy this episode since I don’t know much about batman… but holy moly this episode was so so good!!! I’m definitely gonna listen to the rest when they come out!!!
Did i just quote a the only documentary ive ever heard on voice actors? Yes. Did i think if it a million times throughout the show? Also yes.
You guys are refreshing and tell Will he is a gem. The opportunities for this podcast are limitless and i cant wait to see how far you guys take this.
