I wanted to like this, but it’s so bad that I couldn’t even stand to finish the second episode. Terrible writing, terrible voice acting, and the sound effects are so noisy that large sections of the dialogue are incomprehensible. Robert Patrick as Wolverine is a predictably bad casting choice — every line he delivers is overacted.
A solid 4.5 stars. I felt like the characterizations were a little off, andthe story’s not quite as strong as the 2 earlier Wolverine shows, but still a great podcast.
I was hesitant to get into this Wastelanders series because I have no interest in superhero nonsense, but I ran out of stuff to listen to on my last road trip, so I gave it a shot. Glad I did. Wolverine is the best of the series, and it’s all down to Robert Patrick. Really good! The other actors do a good job as well.
FINALLY…! A podcast worthy of bearing the Marvel moniker. By far, this is the best of the Wastelander series.
From beginning to end, it was exceptionally well done, from the excellent voice actors(all of them were good) to the great sound design and captivating writing/production.
Can I say Robert Patrick….BROUGHT IT! He totally crushed the role of Wolverine. He was actually more believable than his counterpart on the big screen.
I was sorry to see it end. I really hope there’s a second season.
WELL DONE
I love the wastelanders series of podcasts and have listened to them all. I have also listed to the 2 other wolverine podcasts. Can’t wait to see who gets a podcast next. Keep them coming!!!!!
I thought this would be hard to follow as I’ve tried story podcast before. I’ve been a long time marvel fan and thought it was worth a try. This was not just easy to follow, even the few characters I didn’t recognize but I was enthralled by the story, and characters. Very well done! Can’t wait to listen to the rest of the wasteland series!
Robert Patrick is amazing!!! His voice and acting skillz are top notch. I am 40 and a big marvel fan and have listened to them all and this one I had to leave an early comment, I am 3 shows in and loving it, def worth the listen, the sounds, the storyline are great
Comic books are words and pictures, right? So how the heck do you make them work without the pictures? I’m not talented enough to figure it out, but the folks who work on this podcast have! You take beloved characters, distill them down to what makes them tick, then add in a truly staggering level of voice talent and let ‘er rip! This is a great variation on a much-loved Wolverine story, and best of all, it’s accessible to long-time Logan fans and those who just know the basics. A terrific production!
Unfortunately bad writing, this wolverine isn’t an intense hardass, more of a nice uncle. The cast is very hit or miss. Red skull sounds like a bad snl skit. Very bummed after waiting this long
