On the surface, this is a wonderfully woven tale about a robot becoming sentient. On another level, it tells the story of thousands of generations of women (and a minority of men). It raises so many points that humanity has struggled with for centuries and doesn’t seem like it will end anytime soon. Our species tends to try to control everything, other humans included.
This story gripped me in the first 10 minutes and didn’t let go.
