This cracked me upā¦.the reason theyāre on Patreon is because they talk about a lot of personal things and donāt want it out there for the worldš³ No just for the people who pay you for itā¦. fyi, if I listen itās on 2x
I found Amye through Mary Payne and Pink Shade. Didnāt think I needed to listen to another podcast, but I was quickly hooked. I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. The attacks are sudden and can be overwhelming. But when I feel one coming, listening to Amye and Amanda as well as Mary Payne makes the anxious feelings not so bad and I can somewhat breathe again. I even find myself smiling. Thanks ladies š
Giving a 5 star review for Amye only. I really want to like Amanda but sometimes she spends 5 mins googling and then reading wiki pages for way too long, she always tries to plug her relationship to non-trad people in a way thatās too similar to āI have a black friendā, she doesnāt even recap eps accurately-1 example is an episode of Forbidden Love-Amanda says Lindsay calls herself a ācreepy colonial ladyā when the actual quote was āa pioneer womanā. I think itās important to be accurate about this since Lindsay was trying to be respectful and never said it was creepy. I keep coming back bc I really love Amye and want to love this podcast, but Iām like 2 more Amanda-isms from quitting.
Also the way Amanda relates so many things back to Jake and Mattā¦itās gone beyond reasonable. This is your podcast girlies, no need to mention others unless theyāre your guest. Thereās great bones for this podcast, I just hope they flush out issues and become more confident in their notes and their opinions and leave googling and other podcasters out for the most part.
Iām embarrassed to say I havenāt left a review even though I love this podcast! What is wrong with me?! Amye and Amanda keep me laughing. I love the personal stories. Makes me feel like theyāre my friends (more embarrassment) Keep doing what you do bc as a lady of a certain age you make my day! I donāt even watch half the shows just want to hear their stories and recap!
I love you girls! Thank you for finally saying all the things Iām always thinking!! So refreshing! I always look forward to every episode. Thank you! š
Enjoy the fun recaps! Tbh ; the one thing I could really do without is hearing about āTimmyā
every five sentences! ) other than that Love the show !
Settle in for some of the most insightful, in-depth, bff fun loving, intelligent, deep diving podcasts. The pace is perfect. Amye knows when to catch us up quick & when to stop & say, āwait a minuteā to deep dive into what we want to stop the clock & focus on for a while. She laughs with us & gets mad at the screen with us. Her guest hosts bounce ideas back and fourth with her about what is really going on in that persons mind on our screen connected to how they feel every day. Amazing ladies of any age show
Love Amye and all her friends! Each week there are such an amazing variety of shows that are recapped. Iām hoping I can convince them to recap āInmate to Roommateā. Itās a Matt Sharp joint!
I am so in love with this duo!!!!! They make my day, literally!!!!! I look forward every single day to see whatās posted!!!! You both have helped me so much with feeling connected to the world and laugh!!!! I love you both and hope I can meet you ladies one day!!!! I also was a big girl most of my life and relate to alllllll the things that you both talk about! I canāt wait to see the pod grow and be part of your journey!!! Iām manifesting it for both of you and in the garage with the Holy Ghost lol
I am also a wife of a union carpenter and mother of twins (19). I am a mail carrier and listening to this podcast is the best part of my work day. Thank you so much!!
My favorite recap podcast! The best is when Amye finds opportunity to acknowledge parallels between reality show moments and Grease (or Jurassic Park).
I love all the extra content! Iāve been a listener since episode 1 and the show has settled into a really nice flow with a fun dynamic. Not just browth- growth. Update August 2024: this is now the 1st podcast I listen to when I wake up and see it on my feed. I donāt even listen to some of the shows covered anymore but like hearing their perspectives and funny takes but always with grace. Keep it up ladies!
Please make your sister wives content available on the public feed! Or at the very least all Plathville content. It seems like less and less actually interesting episodes are free.
Interesting ladies who work on making captivating and fun content. Fun ladies who invite you into their lives. I keep coming back to hear their take on the shows I love. Sometimes I donāt have to watch because they explain it so well. My new favorite podcast.ā¤ļø
Amye, Amanda, and all of the guests are hilariously entertaining. Amye collabs with some of my other favorites (Ace and Katelyn, Reality Gays, Pink Shade), and the Patreon has content that is actually worth paying for (unlike some other pods). Definitely one of the best reality pods out there!
Thank heavens you both are educated and knowledgeable enough to keep our trash children on track because good lord they werent paying attention in school ššš
Your favorite Gen X Aunties that will go up to your daughterās school and dispute the dress code policy for you. Hilarious recaps of all the trash tv you love and donāt feel like watching.
Iāve caught her here and whilst guesting on other pods getting facts wrong and being so sure about it. If you donāt know for sure, pause, and google. The arrogance is growing and that bugs. Also disappointed that Amanda is still hanging around. Well, I wonāt be!
Great podcast, love the banter & friendship between Amye & Amanda as well as the other visiting co-hosts. They cover a wide range, from reality tv to scripted shows- itās all top notch. My ears say thanks for the great listens! :)
I am not 24 but alas a mid thirties super fan, I just wanted to do Danielle voice in the title so badly! I listen to podcasts all day everyday, but I do not pay for subscriptions easily. I tried to play hard to get but I found myself wanting to hear another and another and another, after just 2 DAYS! Amye and Amanda are fabulous, funny and full of joy. You can feel the love they have for podcasting which is so refreshing. This is a great mix between recap and opinion which I very much appreciate. I am so glad I finally listened and now even happier to support this show! You won me over and I am here to stay :)
This podcast is a great addition to my life! I love the rapport between Amye and Amanda and their discussion of my guilty pleasure, reality TV. They are candid, vulnerable, honest, and most of all, funny. I truly feel like I am listening to 2 friends dissecting the often ridiculous shows that I love to hate. Thank you guys for a fantastic podcast!!
I listen to āLittle Miss Recapā to laugh at my fellow Gen Xers, Ayme and Amanda, make fun of everything pop culture. However, I have to give major props to the coverage of āYour Fat Friendā documentary. I loved how real and raw Amye and Amanda were about sharing their thoughts and feelings. Definitely made me shed a tear. It also made me feel seen and understood. I would never have heard of this documentary if it wasnāt for āLittle Miss Recapā and I am so glad you did! Thank you for the laughs and the cries. Much love, Your Chunky Gen X Friend
I just started listening to this podcast a few months ago for the Sister Wives content. Iām now a Patreon member and Iāve been binging like crazy. Amye, Amanda, and Steph are the best. The collaborations they do are great. Amyeās little chuckle makes me laugh. Great conversation, interesting content, funny quips. This podcast has it all. Highly recommend.
I really like this podcast, but they tend to copy a lot of patter from Reality Gays (hashtag Bodrum, Ludloo, driving down the highway, didnāt go good, etc etc) when thereās really no need. Just be yourselves, it is enough
Amye is hilarious, sharp witted, intelligent, down to earth and I love the way she freely shares the mic with her hosts. I can only listen in private because I laugh so much and so loudly it would definitely draw odd looks. Little Miss Recap is by far my favorite podcast- and I have quite a few on my roster. So rave reviews from someone with a gloriously twisted sense of humor who appreciates you. Keep up the great content!
If you are someone that craves reality tv recaps that apply an intersectional, serious lens to some of the larger topics being discussed (and a helluva lot of laughs), this is the podcast for you. Amye is a delight and a much needed voice in this space. Love Amanda too! š
