Pretty Little Liars: True Crime

Reviews For Pretty Little Liars: True Crime

they definitely don’t seem to be in this for anything except the extra cash, they’re literally stealing listeners from a lot more genuine PLL podcasts, we GET it you were in the show. WE GET IT. they barely go over the show the way the fans actually want i hate this podcast:)
I love a good rewatch podcast, and listening to the cast and crew reflect on their experiences on the show while they recap episodes. Unfortunately this isn’t a good recap show…or even a recap show. The girls talk mostly about their lives which is fine, but not the show I was expecting to get. The titles of the episodes imply the listener will hear some in depth story from set, but you’ll be lucky if the hosts say more than one sentence about who’s hands were A’s at the end of each episode. And why is the true crime guy on? PLL is based on a fictional book, not true crime, so listening to this guy try and equate what was in the episode to true crime is, well, why?
Most of the reviews hit the nail on the head. The editing isn’t great, the volume goes up and down and seems choppy. Also there’s no intro and outro for ads which feels low quality. I wish it was more of a rewatch/ rehash of the show and less talking about the time and reflection, but at the end of the day it’s their pod so they can do what they want. Seems like they are kind of trying to capture what the OTH girls did but it just isn’t as well done. I’ll listen here and there when they have an interesting guest on from the show, but it isn’t a must- listen for me.

I love this podcast! I love connecting with these two from a show that I loved in my teens. I love how they loop in topics of the show with their personal lives! Makes things relatable and they have such good insight on life. Also, Joseph Scott Morgan is a fan fav!! Love everyone on here.
They don’t spend a lot of time talking about pretty little liars
The podcast is fun, I enjoy it, but the ads without ad breaks are INSANE! Lindsey was in the middle of a sentence, talking about her addiction, deeply personal, and mid-sentence it breaks into an Audible ad. The guest interviews get interrupted by randomass ads while they are answering questions. I get you have to have ads, just let the actors pause before going to break.
Loved the idea of this podcast but not what I thought it would be. Let’s be so fr they should’ve just made a podcast about themselves bc that is what this is. They 90% talk about themselves and 10% about the show and that’s a generous 10%. Can’t seem to stay through the whole episode anymore.
I don’t hate this podcast, but it’s not what I thought it would be. Lindsey and Tammin spend more time talking about their past drug use and how sexual they are/aren’t than they spend talking about Pretty Little Liars. I haven’t watched the show in years (loved it when it was on) and the “rewatch” part of this podcast is definitely lacking. I do enjoy what Joseph Scott Morgan brings to the end of each episode, being a true crime fan; however, what he is discussing doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with PLL.

This is really just that bad. Not what I expected

Hi

I miss all the featured people but still love the show
I’m excited that the legacy of PLL is living on through Tammin and Lindsey! I have enjoyed listening to them. I definitely think it’s more reflective for them, than recapping, but I’m 100% okay with that. I will say, they use a lot of profanity, which can be difficult to listen to while around my kiddos. Other than that, I’ve enjoyed it so far!
Hello, I wanted to really enjoy this podcast for the rewatch part but that’s absolutely not what this podcast is about. I think this is my last episode listening too. Just don’t enjoy it
I love a rewatch podcast and wish that’s what this was. They touch on the show for maybe 3 or 4 minutes and then go down rabbit holes and then randomly learn a fun fact about true crime almost completely unrelated to the episode. As it’s a new pod I’m still holding out hope that they’ll read reviews and get it on track cuz this thing has potential!!! (Please reference The Good Place Podcast as the shining star example of what your pod could be!)
I have been a huge fan of PLL since it started airing, so this podcast made me so excited! While the episodes have been great, the podcast does not seem to be what it was advertised to be. I listen to several rewatch podcasts and some of them will have one episode that is truly breaking down each part of the episode and then a separate episode for a special guest star. I don’t know if this would be a possibility, but I think that would help do this iconic show more justice than it is currently getting. I loved the Sasha episode, the Torrey episode and the Brant episode, but I think it would have been better to have one episode focusing on the guest star, and another breaking down the episode. Joseph Scott Morgan is a wonderful addition but I think he should come on bi-weekly. He brings a wonderful perspective but he is going to run out of things to say quickly. I hope this doesn’t come off as critical because I really love the show and this podcast had a strong start! But as it is right now, this is not a rewatch podcast but if a few things were tweaked, it very much could be. Thank you for doing this, ladies!

I need them to talk more about the actually show and not just death in general
Even out the audio, compress it or get better tools. I can’t adjust the volume every few seconds because audio engineers can’t do their jobs. The placement of commercials is diabolical; they’ll start in the middle of a sentence and, of course, the volume is significantly louder then the actual podcast. The commercials also don’t fall in 15 second increments so even though I’m paying for Apple Podcasts, i have to sit through part of a commercial or miss the podcast audio either the skip options. The two hosts constantly talk over each other which gives it an authentic conversation feel but incredibly difficult to listen to. Finally, what is the theme of the podcast, is it a recap? True crime reality check? Dissing the other actors and crew members on the show?
I loved PLL and this show makes me smile! Both hosts are funny, honest, and insightful. Love the expert at the end. Thank you!
Just 2 Ladies in their 30s talking about other people and who kissed who 10 years ago backstage while playing high schoolers. Or who had the bigger trailer? They don’t even recap any episodes; the true crime aspect with Joseph never has anything to do with the episode either.

I love Lindsey and Tammin and they are fun to listen to, but it’s true they don’t talk a ton about the actual episode (which is honestly fine with me) and the Joseph Scott Morgan thing is played out. I turn it off when he comes on. Tammin’s audio is terrible, she either needs a new mic or needs to stop moving her mouth away from the mic. I do love the interaction between the two of them tho. They should consider making it longer and axing the JSM segment.
Some episodes are better than others, but sometimes I have to just stop listening. Lindsey is great on her other show, but Tammin doesn’t bring anything to this. Never consistent on the mic, audio goes out. It would be nice if they focused on the show more. I dont know how many people are actually interested in hearing Tammin talk about how sensual she is, cringey to say the least.
I love a rewatch podcast where the show is truly broken down and discussed scene by scene or storyline by storyline, and when behind the scenes moments are shared, but these two are only talking about themselves, and mostly it’s about topics completely unrelated to the show. I don’t think they’re doing this iconic show justice.
I’m loving it , but just wish they would talk more about the show and less about true crime.
I was so excited for this podcast, but they barely talk about the show. It feels all over the place. Also Tammin’s audio is garbage. Her voice goes in and out on every podcast
i lovee this podcast and love all of the talks you have but i wish there was more time for the pll recap
I love PLL!!! But I want more about the episodes. Descriptions of each episode and the whole podcast for that matter implies that the episode is going to be discussed. I just wish it was more of a recap.
While Tammin and Lindsey are very charming and interesting to listen to, I’m very confused about what this podcast is supposed to be. By their own definition this is a recap podcast, but they barely speak about the episodes at all, and instead spend most of their time diving into their own personal problems they were experiencing while filming. Please start using an outline. Also the “true crime” aspect is going to get very old, very fast and is not a sustainable segment. I fear this is going to go the way of the last PLL podcast that featured cast members (Pretty Little Wine Moms) recapping and implode quickly before they reach the end of the season.
Love the insight! Wish there was a bit more time to break down episodes but love JSM and the interviews on the pod!
Was so excited for this but so disappointed it literally isn’t about the episodes what so ever. Also the detective being in every episode is going to run out of things to say really quick. Why not bring him for the recaps when it is something he can actually talk about pretty little liars true crime not just basic true crime. Fell off so quickly after the first episode sadly.
Good podcast. Love PLL but they barely talk about the episodes. Wish there was more discussion
Dream come true!! I just wished yall talked more about the actual show. I would like to see yalls take & opinions on each episode & maybe some behind the scenes story times would be awesome, kind of like the office ladies podcast do!
I’m so excited for this podcast and I love these two as the hosts of it - having the POV from non-series regulars. Have really enjoyed the first four episodes but PLEASE can we focus it more on the episodes/actual show going forward? A little bit of industry talk and getting to know the guests as people is nice for a few minutes, but it’s so much random chit chat. Dig into every detail of the episode, talk behind the scenes, etc… please I want to love this but some of the guest talk is random and uninteresting.
I enjoy the guest and hearing about the behind the scenes. However there’s no discussion of the episodes at all anymore I feel like as a rewatch podcast the episode should be discussed. It’s great to hear from the death investigator I just thought he would be talking more about scenes in the show and breaking down clues left by A.
Love this podcast ! Can’t wait for more !
I wanted to love this so much and for the most part I enjoy their take on things but I feel like this isn’t a recap of the show at all but more just talking about the backgrounds of the two and their storyline within the show 😭
Go in depth about the episodes more like episode 1!!!!! We want moooore about the show less chit chat:)
Yall really couldn’t pick a different name as an already existing podcast ?!? With a WELL established following ?! And doing the SAME THING?! Yall were barley on the show move on

I’m so excited for this podcast!! I can’t believe I found it with only two episodes. I hope my call and adult podcasters get a hold of this ;)
I love learning the tea but also learning more about people from a personal perspective!
Loving the first episode! I can already tell I’m going to love this podcast. But the AD jump scares!!! Do they need to be that loud!? Lol Every time I’m turning up the podcast to hear you guys better I immediately regret it because the ads just pop up out of nowhere SO loud.
