This is such a well executed show and super exciting and interesting concept - an exploration of some weird and wonderful natural phenomenon, in an informative but immersive and almost magical way. Beyond the subject matter itself, the delivery is incredible - the mix of immersive soundscapes and gentle meditative music is really on another level. Also the 5 minutes format is perfect, it's just the right length to leave you wishing for more.
As soon as you hit play, you're enveloped in a serene atmosphere that feels both expansive and intimate. Each sound is meticulously chosen and beautifully orchestrated, creating a vivid sensory experience that encourages deep relaxation and a profound connection to nature.
Listening to this show is a truly serene and relaxing experience, one that I never felt before with a podcast. Wonder really leans into the audio-format of podcasts and brings it front and center, making the most of the medium. It's so relaxing and meditative, and you learn something cool (never knew about most of the things they talk about), and you can just drift away to another world for a few minutes... Then you realise this magic is right here on earth. Wow. I'm hooked.
I was excited about the idea of 5 minute soundscapes. This ain’t that. This is the most annoying voice you’ve ever heard reciting crystal rubbing gibberish for 5 straight minutes.
Episodes are around 5 minutes and celebrate the joy of natural wonders. This is so immersive - I just closed my eyes and let myself relax to the sound of the narrator voices. Sound design is incredible and definitely worth a few minutes of your time - highly recommend.
