Loved the interview with William. I hope that you’ll interview him again and ask about the grouse stick snare thing…15-16 grouse with a stick! Crazy! We’ve never seen anything like that before. Also, where were the 10 food caches? How were they protected? How was William being “letter of the law” when it came to Sassy stealing his food? What do the rules actually say? Curious fans want to know :)
Just like the show itself, this is a thoughtfully produced program that is incredibly well done. Great people seem to be involved with Alone and that’s part of the reason I love it so much and this podcast is no exception! Thank you for putting this together for those of us who can’t get enough of the show.
Highly recommend this companion podcast! Not only do we learn about the behind the scenes and similar deep journey from former participants, their current take on the season is so informative. Fun to remember when watching the next episode. Love the perspectives of all, the tapped out visitor, and the producers. SO GREAT
I’m LOVING this podcast. Is there any way to find out from someone who actually knows….. are wolves a threat? I mean stealing your food obviously but I’m genuinely curious about wolf vs. human
This has been a great addition to watching the show. Hearing from Callie and Lucas, I’ve been through it their perspective on what they’re watching and overall the discussion and assessment on how things are going is great.
I watched the show and then I listen to the podcast, and sometimes I realize I wanna go back and watch the episode again.
I think with so many of the viewers, including myself are curious about includes things that you’re just starting to touch up on in the podcast. I hope and future podcasts and future seasons, you can continue to reveal, some of the background going on.
History’s Alone is a show I stumbled upon in June. I am so in awe of the contestants and invested in their survival skills and their vulnerabilities. This podcast, hosted by past contestants, brings new insights into what happens in each episode. Thank you for enhancing the expert storytelling of this season with your own first-hand experiences!
Favorite contestants show up to tell their opinions and ask the show execs questions. It fills in the gaps for me, answers most of my questions regarding gear, rules, technical stuff. As they said in the last episode too they are like family going through life changing events which warms my heart.
Thank you for doing these! I stalk the pod waiting for the new episode to drop. Digging into the details of each episode with you as experts - Lucas and Callie you are amazing!!- in the field and of the show adds context, excitement and answers all of my burning questions. I love the interviews especially of the recently tapped out players.
We are all about the Alone Show here in our house and we have watched all the seasons multiple times, plus the skills competitions. So when this podcast started with Lucas and Callie (two of my personal faves because of their creativity), I started listening and told my husband about it, so now our schedule is to watch the new episode then listen to the podcast together the next day. You guys are amazing! Plus I learned that Callie is married to Randy, another show favorite! So it is just a blast! Thank you for sharing the backstory to the show. Telling us some things we never knew like there are alternate people who could, at the last minute, get put into the show if someone else drops out. Makes total sense! Thanks! We LOVE the show!

Callie, Lucas and Dan create a wonderful balance of observations and insights. I’m a city girl who doesn’t get into the woods at all much, not that I would ever attempt what they do. I’ve watched the show since the very beginning and got hooked by the incredible journeys each participant goes through, but mostly how it captures the importance of the present moment and taking down personal barriers. I kinda get a contact buzz through the screen. This podcast really deepens my appreciation for the experiences they face.

I love the Alone show and watch all the seasons I’ve missed. When I found out you had a podcast that reviewed each episode I was so excited. The podcast is something I can’t wait to listen to each week. You all do such a fabulous job and I’m laughing along with each one of you. You have great senses of humor as well as respect, empathy and gentleness toward each person in the episodes. You are all so good at critiquing the show and it brings it to life one more time. This is the best podcast I’ve ever listened to. Keep up the good work and know you have a huge fanbase out there!
Wow, I am so in love with this podcast. It’s so great to be able to hear past participants share their perspective on each episode and each current contestant’s experience. All of the hosts are fabulous, thoughtful, experienced, and articulate. It’s such a great addition to the show for so many reasons. Not only do you get to hear from the last contestant who tapped out, but you get so much more perspective on the show itself. I started watching Alone at season 7 and have never been more disappointed. Disappointed that I didn’t tune in sooner!!!!! I’ve always said I would love to see behind the scenes and what happens to the competitors when they leave. Loving the interviews! Now I watch, I listen, and I go back to watch the episode again with your insight. Now I want to go back and watch the first 6!
I haven’t missed an show/episode of Alone (any version) and finding the Podcast is great. This answers so many questions as to how, when, where, who, etc. I love this Podcast! Please continue with these.
This podcast has been facilitated in such a way that the experienced and knowledgeable participants engage your heart and mind as you can almost viscerally participate in the Alone adventure.
I personally love their upward psychological trajectory as they always find uplifting positive experiences and comment without any criticism.
