Love this podcast as it brings the great Sherlock Holmes to life. Reminds me of the old radio shows (I am not that old) that brought stories to our homes
Sherlock Holmes Short Stories is an exceptional podcast that truly captivates my imagination.
The storytelling, language, and immersive sound effects are all of the highest quality.
This podcast is easily in my top 5 favorites ever—impressively, 4 out of those 5 are produced by NOISER, making the subscription an incredible deal!
A wonderful selection of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic stories, subtle music and sound effects to bring the stories to life, and most of all Hugh Bonneville’s perfect voice and superb voice acting - sheer perfection
What a great retelling of some of my favorite stories of all time. Hugh Bonneville is an artist of speech tone and style. The podcast is perfectly produced and I will be listening as long as episodes are released.
P.S. I hope Mr. Bonneville reads some of the longer Sherlock Holmes mysteries as well!
Great storytelling of classic Sherlock Holmes mysteries. Hugh Bonneville does a great job representing each character. I could listen to him read anything!
Wonderful podcast presented well by the narrator. Even though I have completed all works of Holmes, I love re-listening to them in this podcast. If you are a mystery fan, you’d love it. Most stories are 2-3 episodes long and the narrator gives a quick recap. Overall one of the best podcast!
For my first podcast ever I have to say it is amazing! I can’t stop listening to it and it feels so real. And the fact that I’m listening to Hugh Bonneville from Doownton abbey makes it all the more special. I’m so exited to listen to it again and again!💕
I was never really a Sherlock Holmes fan but when I saw this prodcast I knew I had to listen. I listened to the first episode and loved it. Now I never miss one. It is so suspenseful and intriguing. Hugh bonneville narrirateing it just makes it 10000 times better. Can’t wait for the next episode! By far the best podcast I’ve ever listened to.
I happen to love Sherlock Holmes and I also love hearing books read out loud, so the combo was an easy sell- but
I wasn’t expecting such excellence!
This is some of the best, most elegant and subtle interpretive reading I’ve EVER had the pleasure of listening to.
What a treasure!
Caught the first episode as a crossover and quickly became interested. I look forward to each week and get excited to see it every Thursday. Very well done!
The characters are brought to life with skilled voice acting, and the timeless stories are clever and clean. No agenda behind anything, just wonderful story telling!
Everything about this podcast is phenomenal and Hugh Bonneville is the perfect narrator. The stories are very well written and in a fashion that makes them come alive. It’s like you are there being warmed by a fire or jostling along a country road & you can feel the danger. I hope there will be more than one season!
Hugh Bonneville is the perfect narrator! He captures the feel of the writing and brings it to life so you can see it all in your mind. I’ve read most of the Sherlock Holmes series many times, but listening to them on this podcast is like I’m experiencing them for the first time. I can’t wait for more!
I’ve recently gotten very into Sherlock Holmes stories and have scoured the internet for good audiobooks and podcasts. While I’ve found one or two with great narrators, sadly they feature very interruptive and abrasively loud advertisements when you least expect them, making for a jarring listening experience. This is by far the best podcast/audio out there and it’s nice to see some of the lesser known stories being featured. Thanks for putting this out!!! Looking forward to Thursdays!
Really enjoying the podcast so far, especially the ambient music and noises that accompany the stories. Hugh Bonneville is a great narrator. I’ve listened to other podcasts that read Holmes short stories but this is the first one that has done the Dancing Man one. A fun listen.
I don’t know how I found this (my go to for fiction is horror) but I love it. I binged all the episodes and can’t wait for more. Hugh is a wonderful narrator. More please!
I have to be honest with you and say that my first acquaintance with Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson was when I was just a child. I fell in love with them both and read every story I can get and it’s become a part of my DNA almost. This is a wonderful addition to my podcast library and one I will return to often for the comfortit provides and the intellectual stimulation. Thank you, thank you!
