Reviews For Mouse Lounge Podcast

The Mouse Lounge is very entertaining and a well put together show. I'm very pleased it's back. Good job!!!
This is such a gem of a podcast! The host provide a warmth and friendliness that is lacking in most Disneyland podcasts. With tons of knowledge and behind the scene info this is sure to give you your Disneyland fix! Wish I could give it 6 stars
Gary does an amazing job at opening the Disney vault on a wide range of topics and shares them all with us. The time that Gary puts into each of his show must be days, he goes into such detail that after the first listen you want to go back and listen again to make sure you got everything. While some of his humor might not be the best for the family, he is still great to listen to!
I am a full-fledged Disneyland obsessive, I admit it. I think its a crazy, magical place, but I find myself having trouble relating to a lot of Disney podcasts. Gary has the perfect balance of love and arched eyebrow for me. I'm in it for the amazing historic recordings he plays, something I can't seem to find on any podcasts anymore. Thanks Gary for scratching that itch, nothing makes me happier than hearing another taste of Disney history.
Great interview with WaltCast!
Each time I listen to a new episode of the MouseLounge, I arrive at the end of the show with one word in mind...brilliant! With each show, Gary thoughtfully chooses a Disney topic (from the parks, the films, etc), and masterfully weaves various pieces of (often rare) audio together, resulting in an intricate, detailed portrait of his subject. Honestly, I learn something new with each episode. And Gary’s production value is on par with This American Life and RadioLab, from his witty (playfully snarky) writing, to his mix of audio clips. If you are interested in learning about the world of Disney on a multi-layered level, I highly recommend subscribing to the MouseLounge!
Gary Chambers has somehow gotten access to the rarest of clips I've ever heard! His intelligence and humor are probably overlooked by most (i.e. other reviewers have called him snarky), I just find him hilarous! iI also love that he recruited Liana Kilgore for her take on Disney news/events, she's great!
Superb. Great production. If the podcast can avoid being too snarky it would be the greatest podcast ever.
I have been a Mouse Lounge listener for quit a while now. I listen to several Disney podcasts and when I first found Gary's show, I instantly liked his humor and his production values from the start. Then there was a long lull in shows and I figured the show was like so many others, a flash in the pan that quickly burned out. Thank Disney goodness I was wrong because Gary started putting up shows on a regular basis this summer and they are better than when I was originally hooked. If you take the time to give a listen you will learn and hear Disney audio that most folks would never have a chance to hear. Thanks Gary, for taking your time and producing such a quality show that takes me to the Parks and Disney in general!
Mr Chamber's show is so entertaining, so informative, and so well produced that you'd think it's released by Disney proper. This is a first rate podcast and whenever a new season starts my heart skips a beat. Download it and enjoy!
The most Intelligent, Provocative, Cerebral, Sarcastic, ingenious, resourceful, acute, astute, discerning, insightful, perceptive, perspicacious, sagacious, sapient, savvy, wise, highbrow, knowledgeable, learned, literate, scholarly, well-read, educated, informed, schooled, skilled, creative, inventive, judicious, prudent, sane, sapient, sensible, sound, wise, crafty, cunning, shrewd, wily and logical podcast presented by the incredible Gary Chambers! Anyone who gives this show a bad review (especially for lame and inaccurate reasons.., I'm talking to YOU "bama tunes") has no sense of humor and is totally missing the point of this amazing show!
Dec 09 episode includes stale news, 2 pleas for donations in the first 15 minutes, and the usual snarky humor. But snarkly humor about a fatal accident is not something I need. Unsuscribed.
Easily the highest quality, informative and interesting podcast on Disneyland that I've encountered. Thanks Gary for your effort in compiling and leading it all. Keep up the good work!
Just wish it would come out more often!
Like Mary Poppins, this podcast is "Practically perfect in every way." A must listen for any grown up Disney fan! Every episode manages to perfectly meld together entertainment news of all things connected to Disney with the highest quality audio from the park attractions, interviews and various Disney productions. Every episode has great replay potential--and if you close your eyes while you listen, you could swear you can smell the Churros, Popcorn and Corn Dogs on Main Street.

Nice job getting samples! Keep on going!
The Mouse Lounge is a fun, informative and occasionally snarky look at the world of Disney from a grown-up's perspective.
Gary does an amazing job on the show. I love Gary's witty take on Disney news, and the music and clips he plays are wonderfully nostalgic. The show flows well, is very well produced, and Gary's vocabulary alone is worth a listen. A toast to this audio treat!
It has often been noted that Gary has a great sense of humor and intersting information he adds to these shows, but lets face it the great in-park recordings, and wonderful material from the vault are the real stars, his excellent additions to those simply round out these fantasic "main course dishes" with deserts and appetizers that make this show a "meal fit for a king"
I was sooo glad when Gary resumed his witty and informative Disney-based podcast. I listen to several each week and Mouse Lounge always contains interesting news, park info, ride-throughs, sarcasm and fascinating vintage recordings that put it on the "must listen" list.
Mouse Lounge is a very well produced look at all things Disney from news, and ride audio to my favorite, a look into the vault for some great Disney history. All is done with with a great sense of humor that is not afraid of having a little fun.
The Mouse Lounge podcast has been around for a while. "With Mouse Lounge Martini in hand", Gary Chambers puts out his Mouse Lounge podcast each week. He is a very knowledgeable host who puts a lot into his podcast. If you listen to Disney Podcasts, you find that there are a couple of categories that a Disney Podcast can fall into. The first type of podcast are your Park Experience podcasts. These are the guys that tell you everything you wanted to know about a trip to a Disney Park. Another type of Disney Podcasts are the ones that cover Disney movies and history. The third type does it all. Gary’s Mouse Lounge podcast falls into that third category. His show gives you audio of attraction ride-throughs, Disney History and great commentary. His most recent show, #30, is a perfect example of what you can expect from this podcast. After he talks about the current news, Gary then has a recording from the Jan 18, 2008 opening of the re-mastered of Disney’s 101 Dalmatians from the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood Ca. What is special about this recording is the Leonard Maltin lead panel discussion before the movie started. Other panel members are Alice Davis, Eric Goldberg, Lisa Davis, and Blaine Gibson. Next he has a ride through of the Figment attraction from Epcot. Then Gary has put together a couple of audio clips of Walt Disney talking about money and how he earned it as a young man and the early years of the company. He finshes with a couple versions of the song Cruela Deville. Gary put’s out a great podcast. I hope he continues in this endeavor for all of our benefits. So if you have any interest in The Walt Disney properties whether park or film, please check out Gary Chambers at the Mouse Lounge. Martinis are optional!
Gary Chambers sure knows what makes great podcast!!! He gives great news and great old Disney clips along with the new. Always looking forward to a new episode from this podcast. Keep up the great work Mr. Chambers!!
Then you've found it with The Mouse Lounge. A little bit of everything from past and present, historical sound clips mixed with Gary's own in park recordings, news stories and more. It's the Pixie Dust I tell you, it draws you in and you're hooked.
I am fairly new to all the Disney podcasts out there and have been surfing and listening to tons of them and I have to say that The Mouse Lounge is definitely one of my favorites. I really like the news segment he does and occasionally he'll interject his opinion or a little comedy. Then you will get to hear some great audio from the Disney (and you never know what you're going to hear, it could be from 1938, or 2006) archives and after that, sit back and let the Mouse Lounge take you on a ride. I also heard that all positive comments will be paid back with churros (I hope that's just not a rumor).
Gary Chambers researches throughly for his news segments and states all of his sources. He also gives his take on certain news reports. Do not think that this is a news podcast, however; the Mouse Lounge is a complete immersive experience through all things Disney. Each week presents a piece of park audio from both Walt Disney World and Disneyland, rare audio pieces involving Disney history (often from the voice of Walt Disney himself), and Disney animated shorts or TV specials. There are no interruptions between these audio pieces, and the transitions between them are flawless. With Mouse Lounge martini in hand, I say "Cheers!" to one of the best podcasts out there.
Gary puts together a great podcast with news, ridethroughs and archive material like the other reviewers said; but I like the supplementals he puts out. Most recently was a great 4th of July special. Before that he did a musical tour of World Showcase and also a great documentary on the Main Street Electrical Parade!
With such an entertaining show, Mr. Chambers raises the bar with both quality and content. Whether you enjoy ride thrus, music, news, and details and history, you'll enjoy this show! If you haven't found a Disney podcast that will entertain you show after show, this is the one you've been looking for!

What amazes me about Gary's shows are the historical interviews. Other podcasts will tell you that something happened in 19-blah blah, but Gary pulls out a sound clip of the interview or the event! Blows my mind every time. Intelligent, thoughtful, amazing audio, Mouselounge has it all.
Gary gives us the latest news and throws these zingers in there that catch you off guard (but in a good way) and are really funny! He then goes and gets sound clips from various sources (radio, tv, themeparks, records, etc) and brings them together around a topic that really help tell a story. His one supplement episode with music from around the World Showcase was absolutely wonderful!
Thanks so much for putting out such a great show. I love the format, it is easy to follow and flows so well. I look forward to each episode. Keep up the good work, you're much appreciated.
This show always delivers. Superb audio quality, superb sources and superb historical audio. Great weekly updates, and fantastic in-park audio. You just can't say enough good stuff about this show. Take a load off, grab a Martini, and enjoy an hour or two in the Lounge.

Gary does a great Disney audio show. The audio he gives is awesome ith alot covering Disney movies, cd's, and parks. Also, has great sounding Disney audio ride thru's.
From the pristine audio of a time gone by, to the in-park audio of today's fantasy lands, Gary forms a wonderful blend of sound and experience. The production values are superb, and his calm narration of relevant news and events are always punctuated by well-timed (and well intentioned!) Pythonian insertions. In short, if you want a wide variety of top-notch Disney media from today and yesterday, professionally produced and intelligently scripted narration, and a seamless storyline to tie it all together, this is the podcast for you!
The Mouse Lounge is a witty trip into Disney news, history and the parks. Gary's wry commentary on current happenings at the House of Mouse are often spot on and laugh-out-loud funny. He takes us into the theme parks with some of the most amazing attraction ride-throughs available. If you're a fan of the tongue-in-cheek and like to be informed while being entertained then this is the podcast for you!
Hi! My name is Kelley, a student, and fan of Disney! I love Gary's show because he presents disney news in a fun and interesting way. Unlike most news segments...I dont find myself feeling bored and wanting to get to the fun stuff. Instead I listen and sometimes giggle. The audio he provides from archives is fantastic! He also has had interviews with some amazing disney legends. I personally think this is one of the best disney podcasts out there! Great Job Gary!
Gary Chambers puts on an intelligent and well thought out show. It is obvious that Gary puts a lot of thought and effort into the production of the show. Great music choices for the segment changes. The Mouse Lounge is one of the newer podcasts but also one of the best.
How about some tasty lounge music (played at just the right levels, actually...) served up for your enjoyment while you listen to said Disney news, reviews and updates presented in an engaging manner! Think of it as the UltraMouseLounge! Dig it, Man...
Kudos to host Gary Chambers for his excellent program. Unlike those relying on gimmicks to cover a multitude of inadequacies, this program delivers compelling content in an engaging manner. From the sly commentary on the news to the amazing depth of historical content, Mouse Lounge is a top notch production and should be in your iPod right now.
All this guy does is read from newspapers, websites, blogs, ect. he has very little orginal suff to say.
