Reviews For Shadowmagic

I really like the narrator's language (and voice), and the cultural mismatch of a very American protagonist in the land of ancient Irish mythology is a lot of fun.
Just superb writing
One of my new favorite books can't wait to start on the next book.
Great series!
Great story!
I really liked the humor in the story to go along with the seriousness of the tasks the characters had to face. Can't wait till the next one.

This has something for everybody action, magic, adventure and love. He develops the characters well, you feel you know them and that their actions fit their personalities. The sound quality is good and John did a marvelous job w/the narration. I can't wait for the next book.
I love this story, and the storyteller. My absolutely favourite podcast story, and one of my favourite stories of all time! Engaging and fun, from the first moment Connor opens his front door to a huge horse to the very last minute of magic. I love the inclusion of nature that appears in the Land. I recommend this podcast and book for anyone who likes comedy, fantasy, fiction, YA novels, good writing - to everyone!
All I can say is this book is awesome. I even bought the Kindle version for my Mom so she could read it too. Good production and naration too.
This story is awsome
I laughed, I cried, I plugged in for hours of pure oblivios to the whole world, how do I get there (?) incredible hours of enjoyment. Possibly the best story I ever listened to. Thanks soooooooo much for posting this free. Liaten it, make your friends listen to it, buy the book. IT IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every one of every age will fall in love with this story.
Holy crap! This is the best book I've read/heard in about 5 years. (I love the trees too). It's so hard to find a good read these days. This is so addicting. I can't believe the audiobook is free, I would pay $. LISTEN TO THIS BOOK! This is great for adults and kids alike.
I love the trees. Need I say more. Great story that anyone can enjoy!
Shadowmagic was a fun engaging listen. John did a nice job with the reading and the sound quality is good. I'm looking forward to hearing more for Mr. Lenahan.
This is easily one of the best stories out there offered for free for your listening enjoyment. The narration is excellent. The strength of the story is greater than anything Scott Sigler is doing. It has more cohesiveness than a Mur Lafferty story. My only criticism is that the story ended when I wish (like so many other great tales) that it would continue for as long as I have ears to listen.
Shadowmagic was an imaginative and well-paced story. Most chapters end on a cliffhanger, so it's sometimes tough to resist the urge to listen to just one more. The characters are well crafted, and the story never drags. Lenahan is a skilled reader, and the audio quality on the files is high quality. I highly recommend Shadowmagic to anyone who likes fantasy stories.
This is a rock solid story and the author delivers an amazing performance. Shadowmagic was one of the first podcasts I listened to, and very few others have come close to the standard it set. Family safe, and absolutely magical!
I enjoyed every chapter of this wonderful story. I hope there is more! Thank you for offering this as a free download.

Great story, cannot recommend it highly enough!
Shadowmagic is a sneakily addictive story - like opening a plain (barn) door to find an unexpected treasure. John Lenahan adroitly mixes Irish mythology with a wealth of complex, believable characters and an engaging story line. Behind the light whimsey that pervades most of the plot, "The Land" quickly becomes a very real place that one is compelled to visit - if not remain.
