I listened to several podcasts by Tom and decided to unsubscribe.
What I liked : quality production, professionally made show.
What I didn't like : "I am an expert in everything" personality in certain cases giving misguided advice to audience. Some examples : while being unclear himself on subsonic ammo, he continued talking about it as if he was an expert; recommending 380 in midsize pistol as a good package for self defense (9mm has long been a standard); continuous propaganda of 1911 and bashing of polimer frame guns (I have nothing against 1911s, but a modern fighting firearm should be lightweight and doesn't need external safety or decocker).
Too much advertising on the show.
To appeal to a younger audience a gun talk show should have a better balance of opinion, stay tuned with times and be more fun, edgy and entertaining. This is how we can grow our numbers and gun ownership.
No advertising intended, but I'll stick to This Week in Guns. It's not as polished and well produced but provides better information and is more fun.
