EERIE X

Reviews For EERIE X

Half of the show is about a bunch of stuff that has nothing to do with the title. They ramble a lot and talk about uninteresting stuff. I know it's very informal and non-scripted but come on...
I've been a fan of these guys and gals for several years now and am surprised at the negative reviews. Keep it up Eerie crew.
Can't stop laughing thorugh each episode. The group has great rapport with each other, they love what they do, and it shows!
Tried many times to listen to this podcast. It's been sitting on my itunes for months and everytime I try and listen to a topic that sounds interesting, the host barely scratch the surface and then go off on many tangents. The banter is boring and it seems that the hosts just end up reading wiki's most of the time. Needs more focus.

I enjoy it.
It might be a decent podcast if the hosts weren't so interested in hearing themselves talk so much. I fast forwarded 22 minutes and they still hadn't even began to talk about the topic listed in the description. Too many bad jokes, cussing and chit chat about personal crap.Listened to three shows and finally gave up.
so im looking for a paranormal podcast this was not it what i did find was podcast gold if your sensitive please do not download this cast but if you have a since of humor then sit back and get ready your in for a treat
What a great show, I have listened for awhile and enjoy hearing a group of friends getting together and having fun. Also the hosts are not afraid to speak their minds in this age of political correctness. Some of the best podcasts are the road trips and I hope they have some more. Have fun and keep the podcasts coming.
I liked the interview with MRIPA, but so far the other episodes have been too rambling and disorganized. The vaguely not-safe-for-work joking isn't funny enough to be worthwhile.
Simply put... Profane, ignorant, and pointless. I wish I could erase this absurd and shockingly bad experience from my mind. I hope they find their true talent elsewhere as it certainly isn't in the podcasting field, sad...
These people are idiots! I listened to the taboo episode and could not BEILEVE how unprofessional and downright stupid these people are. I understand that it was an episone about taboo but how many times did they really have to say N***ER?!? Then later on during a different topic involving Chinese people they prceeeded to say thier commentary in an offensive and rediculous fake chinese accent and say "ching pang pow" in mockary of the stories subjects. This is ignorant not thought provoking!!
Love it for the mildly educational content, but especially love it for the laughs! Keep them coming
They get up in arms when you critique the banter, well here's to not listening to this crapcast anymore.
stop the banter. sounds like teenagers

Allie.... We get it, you're one of the guys. Now plz STOP Talking! U derail a very good show way to much
The guys n gal behind EERIE Radio have entertained me for years. They are funny, can think for themselves, and are rightly skeptical of many of the more out-there claims made on the show. Even then, its great fun listening in on some of the strange and wild stories that pop up. I'm really glad they came back.
Okay so after listening to many podcasts that focus on the paranormal it's nice to find a group of funny people who don't come off as a bunch of crazy people. I found the show entertaining and the laid back feel of the show was a nice change of pace from the many boring and monotones podcasts out there. Keep it up guys !
Since no-one has rated this podcast in a while, I thought I'd give my two cents… The new EERIEx is awesome, fun to listen to and filled with hilarity and some good information about strange things in this strange world. Cheers guys, keep it up.
so glad your back.....no more sad panda...happy in pants.....
I love EERIE radio and have for a good long while. If you're looking for super professionals, look elsewhere. If you want feel like you're discussing the paranormal with your friends, this is the place.

My opinion, sounds dumb. Clean it up people & I'm not just referring to language. Right now 1 star, maybe I'll check back. Take care.
Tom Biscardi what a joke. Who else better to do a movie about Bigfoot hoaxing? He learned from Ivan Marx. Ivan Marx WAS a notorious hoaxer! That's what he learned for the month he lived with him, if you can believe that. Everything Biscardi is involved with turns our to be BS. Love the show.
After listening to two episodes, I was hooked. When I first glanced at how long some of the shows are (2 hours+) I thought, what could they talk about for 2 hours? I was happy to find out that there was an endless array of weird topics (giants, dreams, fairies, shroud eaters, and UFO's ...oh my!), and the hosts and their banter was fun to listen to. They make you feel like you were in their living room talking, laughing and sharing a beer. I look forward to the EERIE news every week. It like reading the weird sections of The Sun or some other 'strange, but might be true' type of publication. Finally, I love how the hosts and even the members on the forum always respect one another. They even read your posts on air. After subscribing to over dozens of different paranormal pod casts out there, I down sized to 3. This is definitely my favorite!!!!!
I have listened to this show from the begining and al the way thru the present shows. I think that the show is very funny and when they have a guest they very quailty guests. I love the bannter and the fact that they can do this show and have a different view on the paranormal. I don't believe that Christanianity is dead or going away, like someone that posted a review. Keep it up my eerie hosts. Thanks.
This podcast used to be one of my favorites, but for the past several months the show has become nothing but a personal rant among the members of the Eerie team. There really haven't been any guests in quite some time, and all the folks do is talk amongst themselves -- not even about the paranormal. Unfortunately I find the Eerie crew has become somewhat self-righteous, judgemental, and even rude. I wrote a fan email to the show and they laughed at it while reading it on the air. Needless to say I did not feel like a valued listener to the show and I haven't written in another email since. Although the sound quality remains really good and I really WANT to like the show, I can't say that I do. I hope it improves because when I first started listening the guests were top notch. The hosts were genuine and non-biased. Now they are just borderline rude with no direction. Wish I could give a better review, but maybe in the near future I'll be able to update this one.
I've been listening to this show for over a year now, and have gone through much of the backlog. These guys present interesting information, and they do it in an interesting way - what a novel concept! They don't take everything deadly seriously, and cover a wide range of topics - a great program for folks who were disappointed that "Paranormal 101" wasn't an option in school. And, because they don't take everything so seriously, they're more fun to listen to than the folks on the shows that History Channel puts up. They can get a little raunchy sometimes, but that's why they've got that little red 'explicit' tag. And as for the lady who made the crack about the lawsuit... congratulations. You fell for it. If you like the paranormal, and want to hear people take on topics that you don't see on the 30th rerun of Mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle, then give 'em a listen and hear what they've got to say. Who knows? You just might like it!
You have two ears and one mouth: listen twice as much as you speak! They do have informative guests. There's a lawsuit invovled...surprise, surprise!!
Listened to a few episodes and was irritated until I figured out to just FF through the first half hour of the show to get to the interview. And then I hit an episode where they went on location. The first hour and fifteen minutes was audio of the hosts driving. It even included a stop at a gas station to buy ice cream. I've gotta echo what other reviewers have said about the hosts just talking too much. It's like listening to a bad Howard Stern show.
These guys are hilarious, while being insightful at the same time.
I really liked this podcast. Lately it has been hard to listen to though. My advise to the group is to have interviews with only two or three people in the room. Interviews of the guests by committee is just too much. For every one sentence the guest speaks, it seems the crew wants to also contribute and the guest seems to have to wait to speak alot, unless he steamrolls over you all and talks as fast as he can. I love you all and perhaps you would consider giving pairs of your crew a section of the podcast rather than have you ALL comment on the interview or sitting around shooting the breeze ( or guest). I think it would lower the stress of filling podcast space for all of you if each was given a spot for 10 minutes and a chance to shine, be humorous, etc.Like D.K.'s skeptics corner, Seth's book of enoch reading for the day, the Robfather's science talk, just dave's psychic deep thoughts, etc. You are all really really interesting and fun..just not all at the same time. For all newcomers, go to the early shows when there were just three of them...they are so brilliant they practically NOVA.

I try so hard to like this podcast, as I've burned my way through Out There episodes, and a few others of that ilk. But I have to echo the reviews of others: too much annoying small talk, especially at the beginning. I'm all for light-hearted and fun, and getting off topic too, but I just can't handle all the cutesy chatter. It ruins an otherwise interesting show. We're tuning in for the subject matter, not to hear strangers flirt with each other. Take the egos out of the equation. Sorry! I criticize only out of hope for improvement!!
I used to work at a very boring job. I've always had a great interest in the paranormal, and I searched one day for paranormal podcasts to listen to during work. I bless the day I found EERIE Radio. Seriously. It's awesome. They have great guests, and I think they're hilarious, though they're constantly self-effacing. I've been a loyal listener for almost two years now, have listened to all the back episodes except episode 30 (sorry Fizzy, I tried) which is difficult listening due to language difficulties. No, they're not everyone's cup of tea (or coffee, for that matter) but they're funny and they try. And they're crazy. Give it three episodes. You'll be hooked.
The rest is 4 or 5 people making bad jokes, some being esoteric Which makes it worse. BORING...
They make a joke out of paranormal?
This podcast is just fun to listen to. It's like listening to your pals talking, and the guests are interesting. If you're looking for dry, scientific discussions and a streamlined format, this isn't the podcast for you, unfortunately. But if you want the funny and unexpected approach and a real community feel to your podcast, this is a fantastic show. My favorite part is the listener feedback, where forum members are greeted and picked on by the hosts. It's all in good fun, and adds a lot of charm to Eerie Radio that isn't present in some of the other podcasts. I would also recommend Paranormal Podcast and Jim Harold's Campfire if you liked Eerie Radio.
Sometimes it takes a little getting used to their style, but they're having fun (most of the time) and it shows.

Sometimes the interviews are good; however, I can't stand the constant chatter of the hosts. They get off topic much too easily. Also, they constantly judge incidents and state their opinions as facts. Insulting Coast to Coast was the last straw- this show isn't even in the same ballpark. It is a bad production with horrible hosts.
A great paranormal podcast. Terrific interviews and original commentary on the discussion topics. Super cast that really meshes well, makes you think and laugh all at the same time. Give it a listen.
Fun and entertaining podcast. THIS PODCAST IS NOT MADE FOR THE BORING 100% FACTUAL DOCUMENTARY STYLE LISTENER!! Those like that, should look for another podcast. A definitely fun way to pass the day at work.
The production is fine. But there are to many hosts, all talking over each other. There is too much fooling around. The hosts, in short, are not professional sounding. If they showed some restraint with the banter it would defiantly take the show up a notch. Word of advice, turn off the mic when your guests are talking, we don't need to hear a mire of side comments.
This show takes a light-hearted perspective and I really enjoy listening to the episodes.
Why is it that when people do a podcast, they think they have to laugh? And all talk at the same time?? Just random laughing doesn't make you funny. Calm down...focus on content.
Eerie Radio has the potential to be a better podcast, but it needs major improvement in many areas. The hosts can be witty and amusing, but there are too darn many of them and the interviews just sound cluttered most of the time. The pace of the interviews gets interrupted with the hosts' little comments, inane banter, and useless interjections. The interviews are not smooth and you can tell the hosts have mediocre interviewing skills, and they try desperately to sound very intelligent. I give the hosts credit for being authentic and having obvious enthusiasm about the paranormal, but unfortunately, that can only take you so far. The quality of the guests is not up to par--this last interview with Jason Sullivan was ridiculous, because it was totally obvious that he had no idea what he was talking about. It was terrible, I felt embarassed for Eerie Radio. For a highly intelligent, informative, and quality podcast about the paranormal, I highly suggest The Paranormal Podcast with Jim Harold--it is top notch.
Let me be upfront. They do banter, chat and delve off topic. I have listened to this podcast for two years now and that is just part of who they are and it is what makes this show different. They fully embrace this and even publish a 'RambleCast' occasionally. What I enjoy the most about this podcast is the organic structure that the conversations are allowed to take. It's not scripted and it's not a series of headlines being read to you (that is a small part of the show; instead of the whole show). DK and Fizz will also have guests from all walks of life and careers. From well-known published authors to the 'anyman' on the street with a great story to tell. Some personal favorites: Ep. 6 - Keith Johnson Ep. 64 - Archbishop James Long Ep. 63 - Dr. Craig Wheeler Ep. 44 - Nana is giving me the Evil Eye Ep. 46 - Benjamin Grundy Enjoy :)
These guys take 30 minutes of good material and strectch it out to 90 minutes, sometimes even 2 hours! Way too much needless chatter.
