Greatly appreciate the interviews and stories, especially stories dealing with how things can go wrong and what was done to save the situation. As a community we need to embrace that bad things happen and all of us need to be trained in swift water rescue.
In between swims is a great podcast for whitewater enthusiasts. Kayaking is interesting enough to me as it is, but the intelligence and thoughtfulness of many of the interviews and contributors makes it more so. Keep it up!
Great Whitewater Podcast! Jeff rocks and the stories are great. I'm so glad to see that there's a new episode after a little layoff. I've listened to all of the episodes a few times over and can't wait for new ones. Please keep them coming Jeff!
Love all the podcasts, as a beginner kayaker it's so inspiring to hear from top boaters and learn to tips to exploring the waters!! Thanks for all the hard work you do to put it together.
Not only is this the only real, current, podcast dedicated to whitewater paddling, but it's also just solid listening in its own right. A good balance of the pro-scene and grass-roots, "happy hour" paddling content. In Between Swims seems to switch up the different aspects of paddling within each podcast, while also sticking with a subject long enough for us to learn something we didn't already know about a top-notch player, a far-flung expedition, or some shiny new piece of gotta-get gear. Great for long distance road-trippin' or chilling out on your way home from the local Rio. This is the go-to podcast in my rig, whether i'm burning up I-81 to Goshen Pass, or slogging down I-40 Westbound to ColoRADo. Keep up the strong work!

I absolutely love this podcast. What a cool thing. Makes me love my Ipod more too. I sit at my daughter's soccer practices and listen in to the kayaking world and it feeds my stoke in anticipation for the next time I get on the water. Still catching up on only ones. Some interviews (over the phone?) are a little hard to hear. Overall really good quality and stuff.
Extremely interesting and enjoyable listen. I live remote from other kayakers at the moment and listening in helps me feel I am still sharing the adventures and keeping in touch with the community. Thanks!
This is a great Podcast with its pulse on the whitewater community. Stories are well organized and interviews are smart and engaging. When a new one comes out it never sits in my iPod longer than a day before I've listened to it.
It's great to have another medium to find information about the Whitewater community. Something more than videos that you get on you tube, and certainly with more class.
LOVE the format, good audio quality and GREAT stories. I look forward to this every month, wish it came out more often! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! Happy to have it available on iTunes
Thank you for the great podcast! Being a kayaker and a runner, i like to listen to your show during long runs.I am from Ohio and would love to hear more about midwestern class III-IV classics.

a very well thought out, well produced and interesting podcast . the host has a great voice, interviews interesting people and talks about rivers, gear and events with enthusiasm and intelligence. i particularly enjoy the gear reviews and listening to the great swim stories!!
Jeff does a great job filling me in on the whitewater world while I am abroad. I've been in Costa Rica for 3 months now and listening to Jeff tell all the news has kept me up to dat and informed. Also I love the interviews, especially with the expedition boaters and the old-timers. Another thing that I really like is how he incorporates normal people into the show, and it's not always about the pros. Also hearing about steve fischers swims made me feel a little bit better about my last out of boat experience.
Well worth the listen. This is a great podcast that is both interesting and well produced. With big names and relevant topics, this is a must listen if you call yourself a paddler.
I enjoy this podcast. Very insightful and well done. From products to interviews it keeps you engaged and wanting more. You can truly hear Jeff's passion for the sport and the boating community. Taking a swim is all part of it. Be safe out there.
Good podcast -- Focus tends to be on pros and vendors and whoever is hocking the latest DVD movie, but there's also a focus on grass-roots kayaking and grass-roots events by non-paid athletes to keep it real. Jeff (the author, I think that's his name) seems to have a good voice (both in sound and in "ownership" of his material). If you paddle whitewater, I would strongly recommend subscribing to his podcast. The diversity of content is great and the author seems to be having fun, which carries over into your listening experience.
Not only is Jeff a great paddler, he has a great voice for radio, and great insight into the sport. Every issue provides a nice balance of interviews and reporting with a whole variety of personalities affliated with kayaking-- accomplished paddlers, gear designers, river guides, and so on. If you can't be on the river, the next best thing is hearing from people who are. Keep up the good work!
Interesting interviews with real boaters. Timely, relevant, intelligent questions, and always... "when was your last swim".
This is the only audio podcast I subscribe to.
