Toe tapping. Makes me want to take101 even though I have no interest but to listen to the audio drama created by others.

Everyone involved with this show is working so hard taking Audio Drama Fiction Podcasts seriously. They do their research, find quality podcasts to showcase, and then interview the creators ... usually in two sequential episodes. It’s a great way to find new audio dramas or a find deeper enjoyment of your favorite shows.

i think its a great channel with great intentions but notice how he never uploads links into where we can listen to these amazing podcasts because clearly you wont find it using apple podcasts. why doesn’t he at least upload the link into his website (11th hour). he only inserts the production team (actors, writers) but never the actual link to that podcast website or file. where does he get these audio series? why do most podcasters never give a sh**t about there website; i mean your using wordpress for god sake... you have no excuse

Hands down the best source for finding the very best of new audio dramas. I listen to podcasts at my job and this is how I’ve found a lot of my new favorites.

Exactly what I was looking for! Get a sample of dramas, and then you can dive into the ones that you like.

I love this show, it has brought me so many new shows as well as great productions from Fred when he hosted. David is okay but seems to mention politics more- one of the things I listen to audiodrama to get away from. Also- more interviews means less story, I really don’t care about the how or why of a story as long as it’s good. Maybe it’s just me an if it is that’s fine too.

The series can be uneven, but can't expect to hit the ball out of the park overtime. I do enjoy it and hope they continue to may more episodes.

Best way to discover your new favorite podcast is tuning into this show. It's a must-listen.

Not only are there wonderful interviews with audio drama creators, you'll discover a ton of quality audio dramas that you'll be subscribing to in a flash. The interviews are fantastic too. Well worth your time.

I'm a latecomer to RDR, having picked up only since David Rheinstrom has taken the reins, but I've been nothing but impressed. David clearly takes his role as interview very seriously, approaching his subjects with insight and a rich well of background research on their careers and influences. I come away from the interviews with the feeling that I've gotten a substantial glimpse into how the creators think and work, not just a superficial glossing of their process. And, of course, RDR is a constant source for discovering interesting new audio dramas to follow! Highly recommended!

Great interviews, fantastic coverage of a myriad of podcasts. Whenever I'm looking for something new of quality, I go here first.

Not only is RDR an amazing resource for finding new audio drama, but the interviews are a wonderful insight into the ways your favorite audio dramas are made. Whether you’re new to the genre or have been listening to AD for years, Radio Drama Revival needs to be top of your feed.

I am a lover of short fiction and audio drama. I was expecting good things considering the team that produces and I was not disappointed. Keep up the great work!

I know not every episode is gold. But the host is incredibly passionate and he is clued into the audio drama world more then anyone else out there. The recommendations I have gotten from this show are fantastic. The Infidel, Neverware BBC dramatization, and Fighting the Alien from Planet X. This just cracks the surface of the entertainment this podcast as shared with me. Then he ends up having incredible interviews with the actual people behind this projects who are from all over the world. The content is out there it is just impossible to find. This podcast finds me gems I would have definitely missed. But I do skip episodes. So if its not my cup of tea I skip but don't throw this amazing podcast our because one episode was lackluster.

This podcast is awesome, and definitely contains a variety of shows. In eighth grade, my English teacher gave a friend and me assignments which involved listening to audio dramas and subsequently writing about them. Needless to say, I found each production a wonderful listen. In my senior year of high school, I began to search for such content and found this podcast. I enjoy many of the shows, and some have caused me to listen to content from other producers. Thank you so much for making this show available to us. I hope there will be more fantastic podcasts in the future.

Full disclosure - I write the irregular Malleus review column on English and German language audio drama for the radiodramarevival website. I am otherwise not involved with this show. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better champion of modern audio drama than Fred Greenhalgh. He's talented, passionate about audio drama, and young in the best way - constantly exploring, discovering, and expanding. As much as I respect the wisdom of audio drama's elders, who are often featured in Fred's interviews, their strong views often blind them to corners of the field that are blossoming. (Such as, say, professional snobbery towards internet-based newcomers, or genre fiction.) If I could have Tom Lopez or Yuri Rasovsky host this show, I'd stick with Fred. Fred casts his net wide across the field of contemporary audio drama producers and dramatic subjects. I've been listening avidly to audio drama for about 25 years, and Fred still manages to surprise me with new works and new artists on a regular basis. And he broadcasts complete stories, not teasers, that you can download for free (some for a limited time only, so keep up to date). That "try before you buy" model is pretty rare when it comes to professional contemporary audio drama. I think it is valuable for both sides, giving enthusiasts a good idea of what's out there, and helping producers build an audience for their work. Fred has an ear for quality as well. His show has featured the work of modern luminaries such as ZBS, Crazy Dog, Sue Zizza, and AMFM theater (you must hear their "God of the Razor" adaptation!). Talented amateur productions are also featured. Unlike many other shows, OTR (Old Time Radio) is barely a presence, which I count a good thing. I love OTR, but this show's focus on contemporary work sets it apart. The dramas are clear and broadcast quality. I find the phone interviews perfectly listenable, and must respectfully disagree with the previous reviewer. Naturally the best thing to do is sample the show and decide for yourself. I'm confident that once you give it a try, you'll be hooked, entertained, and much better informed about contemporary audio drama.

I love audio drama. It's probably my favorite form of entertainment. And I listened to this podcast for a long time, as it provided a very good resource for finding new material to listen to. But I was frustrated because the audio quality is so horrible, particularly for the interviews. The levels are so bad that it is not very feasible to listen to. As someone who works in radio, I find it hard to believe that this is at all produced in a professional environment. If audio drama is truly going to be revived to its previous vibrancy, it will need champions that know how to produce something that is listenable.
