Running Stupid

Reviews For Running Stupid

New to this podcast... do you always creepily laugh like this for no random reason? I'll hang in for a few more minutes, ahahahahahaha.
Far from stupid, this podcast is a must listen for runners
As a new runner, this is the perfcet show for me! Thanks!
coach Ken is great and very knowledgeable and very motivating. He gives great advise on everything and i love listening to him. The best thing I can say about the pod cast is "ALL DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Great podcast. After I listened to a couple, I actually went back and listened to his show from the very beginning. It has been really great to see how he has changed as a runner. Ken has a great show, he is definitely not admit when he has made an error - he puts it out there for everyone to learn from. Really love how Mrs. CK has joined the show and tells us things from her perspective, also love all the interviews. Keep up the great work Ken and we will be there listening to you - "ALL DAY" LONG!!!
I've been listening to Coach Ken and Running Stupid for about 6 months now. I enjoy listening to older episodes through iTunes, and I always am excited when a new podcast comes out. Whether you're a brand new runner, or a seasoned veteran on the trail, Coach Ken provides something interesting each episode that everyone can enjoy! I can relate to his humor, and appreciate all of the hard work that goes into having incredible interviews with outstanding guests. Keep bringing it Ken! All Day!!!
I have found this podcast to be not only very entertaining, but also very informative. I listen mainly when I am running and Coach Ken’s laughter can really make the run brighter. I would recommend that you start with his first podcast and slowly catch up. Ken…looking forward to the New Year and more podcast
Coach Ken is very entertaining and always upbeat, sharing his successes and the lessons learned from the less successful races. Especially recommended for back of the pack runners and aspiring ultrarunners. This year should be interesting with his wife training for her first 50 mile race.
If you run for fun and don't take youself overly serious, this is the podcast for you. Ken is very open and honest on the ultra distances and the stuggles it takes to complete. I often find myself laughing along and look forward to his new shows more than the others. So join us Stupid Heads and have a little fun along with your run. And to Ken, thanks for the time, entertainment your bring to my runs. ALL DAY....
Ken genuinely loves running and his enthusiasm is contagious! His race re-caps are extremely detailed--which helps me as a new runner. He really explains his training, his gear, his successes and mistakes, so that all can learn from them.
Ken seems like a genuinely good guy who is trying to help others; I admire his ability to complete 100 mile + runs. But good intentions and a desire to help others does not a good podcast make. I subscribed to his podcast with every intention of adding it to my weekly rotation. Unforunately, I had to unsubscribe after one show. Ken seems to laugh at every little thing, especially things that simply aren't funny. Perhaps dropping the copious laughter or adding a co-host would improve the show.
I started listening while I was nursing a plantar issue, and needed something to keep me going since running 4 myself was out. Coach Ken does a great job of making you feel as though you've known him for a while and you're just shooting the stuff. The kazoo: @ first I was like WOW! what was that, but then I got used to it and started to look forward to it. I started at episode I and listened up to the current. It's better if you do it this way so you can get a true feel for what's happened and you enjoy the evolution of the podcast as well as Ken's running. Look forward to many more episodes!!!
I only listened to the latest episode (LIV), and cannot get past the host's constant laughing and chuckling to himself over things he finds funny in his own commentary. Maybe other episodes actually have useful information, but I found very little in this one. May be the worst running podcast I've ever heard. Will not download others.

I think he is no pro. You can tell he loves to run. I like the fact he is a average 200 pound person who just loves to run so much. He shows that he is human with some of his running mistakes. He has went from just another runner looking to run a ultra to a person who does them pretty often(and not easy ones). He makes you feel as though if you want to try an ultra you can do it. I have never run with a walkman or Ipod for the last 30 years of running. This podcast has caused me to run with my I phone all the time when a podcast has come on. His podcast makes you want to run longer and more often, last time I did that I was reading Dean K's book. Thanks coach Ken.
I've been listening since the beginning and tho I was first interested in this particular podcast because I'm from No Cal too, I kept listening because Coach Ken can share his experiences both good and bad and that makes this a sincere and honest podcast. Does he laugh at himself - yes and what is wrong w/ that? We all need to approach life with such humor or we'll get bogged down in all the things that are not so funny and then what's the use. I say keep up the good work Coach ken and putting out a great podcast .... All Day!
The kazoo is really distracting but the real problem is Coach Ken is so amused with himself. He laughs and chuckles about everything that he says. Also there is very little content. I don't usually rate podcasts but I felt compelled to rate this one because it is really bad.
I love this podcast. It is very informative and very inspirational. I love to listen while I run.
Interesting to hear Coach Ken run the races in NorCal that I run in SoCal, follow him as his distances get longer....hopefully the shows will follow suit!

Fun/interesting podcast. I listen while working or running. Coach Ken is a likeable guy and this adds to the easygoing flow of the podcast. I consider this my unofficial running club. (Guess I'm a Fritter Wannabe) I find the podcasts informative and motivational. If you are a fan of running, you should enjoy his chitchat.
Love this running podcast - clever, off the wall and laugh out loud funny. Coach Ken is the "real man's" coach. The Dean Karnazes segments are classic - more kazoo! I find myself saying CARB BOOM! all over the house. Keep 'em coming!
I like the Kazoo, but is Dean Karnazes really that great? He still puts his running shorts on like the rest of us I presume. Interesting show though, I'll keep listening. Plus, anyone who has the guts to put out a regular running related podcast gets my admiration.
I listened to the first few (2-3) minutes and a Kazoo blew out the speaker in my Volvo. So, I went to episode 4 or 5 knowing they would have leveled off the volume and within 3 minutes again a kazoo goes off. So sorry I couldn't listen anymore. I think the content could be good but alas, I'll never know. I'll wait and try downloading again in a month or so and if there's another Kazoo blowing out my speaker, well.... that'll be it. Good luck Coach Ken, I really am writing this as a help. Best to you!
This podcast is perfect for the new runner, old runner, elite runner, slow runner, fast runner, and all runners in between. And I for one am looking forward to many more episodes.
