Content is great, but the anchors often talk over and interrupt the people they’re interviewing, and just about every show features a few poor pronunciations and slip ups in speech. Maybe it’s a generally rushed recording and you need to take more time for quality.
I find Rahul Tanden’s voice and delivery supremely irritating. This person should not be on radio/podcasts. Absolutely the worst amateur. The quality standards at the BCC have dropped dramatically over the years and he is no exception. Someone who can’t evenly deliver, control his voice and volume shouldn’t be doing podcasts. I don’t support the BBC in any way any longer. There are absolutely no standards or quality control anymore. They also have another heavily accented Indian woman hosting the show that makes my toe curl.
... but please stop your predictable pattern of turning every other story into your annoying breathless rants about gender inequality, lgbtq confusion, climate crisis, race baiting, USA snarking, Trump bashing and global shaming. If you want to flagellate yourselves over your Empire history, fine, but don’t draw the USA and other nations into your guilt trips. You act as if you are very jealous of your American cousins, get over it! Wake-up, the majority of the world really don’t want your lectures, just the balanced news please.
The coverage is good quality, but the business story selection is frequently very PC, and related to Race, identity, Feminism issues. Well it is the BBC 2020
Great way to keep an ear on global business, it’s nice to hear about issues from across the world instead of just local news. By far the most balanced news source I’ve experienced.
I have been listening to this podcast for the last couple of months. I would say that this is an excellent program. I don't have time to watch or listening to radio but this is my podcast is my favorite during driving. It covers a lot of topics and analysis and I love it. Well done!
