In the broadcast version, the ads are indeed execrably frequent; move to podcast, though, and they are far fewer. Also in podcast form, you can skip ahead when ads occur. MSNBC uses the same voice actor for all those ads, though, so you can skip ahead 15 or 30 seconds at a time, past her voice, and cut the annoyance way down.
