Reviews For Music City Roots

I lovelovelove Music City Roots! Thanks to them I've seen so many of my favorite Nashville (and beyond) artists, like Jon Byrd, the Mark Robinson Band, Eric Brace, Peter Cooper, Thomm Jutz, Erin Rae, Audrey Auld, Phil Lee, Amelia White, Kevin Gordon, Anne McCue,Tom Mason, David Olney, Sergio Webb, Wild Ponies, Steve Conn, Stephen Simmons, Dave Coleman, Tim Carroll, Luella.. I know I'm forgetting some but there are SO many great artists that I've seen/heard of on these shows. And the production is top notch... the sound, the over all look, the wonderful interviews with Craig Havighurst. Americana at its best! Thx MCR!!!!!!
This used to be one of my favorite podcast when it was updated weekly. Now it goes for weeks without anything, and then they drop two or three at once and they're a couple of months old. Hopefully they will get caught back up and on a regular basic again.
I am fortunate enough to live right around the corner from the Loveless Cafe, and ever since they built the barn out back I have loved attending these shows every Wednesday night. This album lets me relive those fun nights at the Loveless with amazing artists from Nashville.
Music City Roots is one of the best things coming out of Nashville!!!! I've been to the productions and they really are amazing. This podcast is the next closest thing if you can't get there in person. They do a fantastic job of launching fresh artists as well as up and coming acts. The songs are great, the interviews are fun, and the people are hilarious!!!! SUBSCRIBE... you won't regret it :-)
Music City Roots is one of my most favorite things to do in Nashville, and this podcast makes it available to anyone, anywhere, anytime. I don't know why any music lover wouldn't subscribe - not only does it cover all genres of music, so whatever you are in the mood to hear, you can hear; but also some of the most talented and legendary musicians in the world have played with Music City Roots! Plus Jim Lauderdale hosts. It doesn't get much better than this!
Not sure what the previous two reviewers heard when they first reviewed this podcast, but I hope they'll drop back by. This is a great way to plug into new bluegrass, folk, acosticana, rockabilly, cow punk, roots, old-time and string band music. Great sound quality and a welcome antidote to most of what's dripping out of modern commercial radio. Give it a listen.
As of September 2010, there's nothing in this podcast but an advertisement. It's just a way to trick people into downloading & listening to an ad for the show that you can't get on iTunes (or anywhere else, for all I know). Thanks, WSM.
I would love to rate/review this podcast. Where is it???? I subscribed and got nothing.
