The New York City Crime Report with Pat Dixon

Reviews For The New York City Crime Report with Pat Dixon

I don’t dislike this podcast but the banter can be...eh. This woman comes off as soooooo naive...and I don’t *think* she’s acting that way ironically (I mean, who doesn’t know what crack is and is gullible enough to believe someone who wise-“cracks” that it’s healthy?!) It’s annoying. To me. No offense, lady. I just feel like people discussing goings-on in the world should have more worldly knowledge, maybe?? Still, not a bad podcast. Just not great.

Are all your episodes as racist and full of bigotry as the first one I listened to with Gavin McInnes?
One of my favorite podcasts! Give it a chance!
There was a time that I was listening to Pat Dixon's NYC Crime Report and chuckled through each program. But lately, he's been...unfunny. There is a cyncicism and anger that has appeared in his work, expressed by consevrative politics. I know who he supports - he's been vocal about it and that doesn't bother me, but his "comedy" or attempt at it is geared toward manking mean and unfunny remarks about liberals or progressives. Just read the news and make jokes about it dude. That's what's funny. Not expressing his own ignorance about what other people believe.
Iy's been 15 years since I last had a drink...but tonight might be the night
I guess your saying "what did I expect?", couldn't make it through the first show. Ketchup and or relish on a frankfurter. What has happened to my beloved city? To say nothing of blacks liking the mayor more because according to these transplants "they can relate to his chronic tardiness".
When it's about crime as the title says it's funny. When the entire episode is just alt right politics with zero crime thats a bit of bait and switch. my issue isn't pat (funny guy) or his polotics. Just that I would be as dissapointed if a show about polotics spent it's time on NY crime. He really should do 2 pods or rename this one. Because the crime is either non existant in NY these days or the show has lost its way since the days of the subway stabber. c'mon , give me crime....not Clinton or Trump. I can get that anywhere. But NY crime , well I guess thats gone now as well.
If you hate women, you’ll love this show. Oh and racism - if you’re into that you’ll also love this.
Great podcast. Stellar, hard-hitting, news you can use. Goes right to the source and ask all the hard-hitting questions. Pat Dixon.

Within the first 10 minutes of the first episode I ever listened to, these two dudes go on the weirdest misogynistic rant with “remember when women kept their mouths shut?” Yeah, i remember. It sucked and things are getting way better now. Sorry, men, that you don’t get to do and say crappy stuff and completely get away with it anymore. Byeeeeeeee.
Five stars, fella. What a funny and interesting look into the criminal world of NYC. Whoever gave this one star must be a person who likes boring, unfunny podcasts. Good riddance to that guy! Pat doesn’t need guys like that anyway. Matter of fact I’m guessing it was a woman. She probably got ofFENded. Good riddance ma’am! I’m
Conventional wisdom says, in life you can’t have the good without the bad. In “New York City Crime Report” you will encounter BAD BEHAVIOR and WICKED GOOD HUMOR...but you’ll have a hard time deciding which describes the police blotter and which describes the commentary. Not for the weak-hearted, narrow-minded, or overly mature. Indiscretion advised.
This show used to be a hilarious and dark take on crime stories. It's turned into insufferable rambling about right wing politics and race. Whoever this guy is who has somehow become co-host really brings out the worst in Pat.

A great podcast for work. Factual accounting of the current state of affairs.
I unsubscribed this podcast because it turned into something I did not enjoy. I waited a long time before giving up on it because Pat Dixon is a very funny man when he wants to be but clearly his priorites have changed. Engagement on specifics would yield nothing helpful (or likely truthful). Goodbye.
...By way of hilarious commentary. If you’ve got the crime, Pat’s got the time. He’s laying the lumber while lesser men slumber. A podcast for everyone, not just the head of the football team.
Love Pat Dixon and I'm glad to hear Seth Barron on so frequently now. A great idea and a great show. Can be slightly hard to follow the conversation sometimes when this is on as in the background, but that's a testament to possibilities of using the BS writing of NY print media as ta conversational and comedic launchpad. It's high time someone started to take these rags to task and break down the BS. Cheers Pat.
I love this podcast! Pat Dixon reports on some of the more bizarre crimes in NYC, (as well as some of the higher profile crime stories) with very funny commentary. His recent sometimes co-host Seth Barron (who has tremendous insight into local NYC politics) is welcome addition to the show, as the two of them have great chemistry. If you are easily offended by honest dialogue about crime, and don’t think crime is a proper subject for comedy, then this show is not for you.
The world of crime is often a heaping steaming pile of icky poo. One man is willing to dig through said pile in search of the funny for you. That man is Pat Dixon!
These two are perfect examples of racist privileged white men. They are the reason that decent white people now have to feel ashamed of being white.
Fantastic show. So much detailed information with a comical perspective. Every time highly entertaining. Delightful
I never get enough of this show. Ever since Seth Barron has become a regular on the Show, I have looked forward to new episodes even more.
This has turned from nyc crime blotter to alt-right screed. Don't bother.
Hosts and guests can't see beyond their own egos; any thoughtful analysis or quality research is almost immediately derailed by the host's inability to perspective take or his incessant whining.
Regardless of some views of LONG TIME listeners getting Pat's sense of humor then giving a 1 star raiting because of a percieved masogonistic comments, obviously never got Pat's sense of humor or the point of the show to begin with. Keep up the good work Pat and making hte most original content on the web and you as you can see the people will always have your back!
I love this show and I love Pat. This show is truly funny. Politics are not funny, there are plenty of politics shows out there, Pat should stick with the format, NYC crime and humor. When he does, this is one of the best shows out there. When he gets political I tend to tune out.

I'm sad I didn't find this podcast until now!
Love the show. Great guess. Love the dark humor. And Pat Dixon just keeps it real. Love when he has James Polk on too. I'm sorry I only found out about this podcast a few months ago, this along with the Joe Rogan Experience are my favorite currently.
Tried this out. Was looking for a cool crime podcast with a stable host. What I found was confusing. The hosts make jokes which are funny, but they also kind of make culturally insensitive remarks. They criticized homeless people for about 10 minutes without reminding themselves why these people are out there. Can't edit to remove this crap from my playlist.
Even when politically incorrect. Oh man Pat and Guest were spot on about arrogant bicyclists and others who are way too entitled. I work in Customerservice and cannot believe the lack of common sense I encounter every day...Pat gets it and makes me laugh.
I used to love this podcast when it was about crime. I find Pat genuinely funny, his dark sense of humor went great with the crimes committed in NY. But the last few months this podcast has been increasingly more about his political views. I decided to finally unsubscribe when he brought out the "false flag" nonsense about Sandy Hook. It happened, and I can't support someone who believes such an ignorant opinion.
love the show but the intro makes it almost unlistenable
Stupidity reigns in this podcast. Big on generalizing groups of people based on their ignorant point of view. Pass.
I had no idea that men's voices could be that level of shrill and irritating.
Some episodes are fine when he's got female guests but a favorite male co-host of his and several other male co-hosts set the tone for rage, hate and sexual harassment and demeaning language about women deserving to be raped that women connive and take advantage of men and on and on general hatred and demeaning language towards women. It's gotten old and I'm just not giving this jerk the download anymore. The ethnocentric talk and racism disguised as comedy is also old. This guy needs to clean up his act or he can continue to sound like an ignorant old bigoted jerk.
Pat is so articulate you can understand the story behind the story. i anticipate each new episode with glee. It really is "A show worth living for" His expert guests really know their stuff.
I wish I knew comics like Pat Dixon when I was doing stand up back in the 90's. Its so hard nowadays to find comics who are brutally honest, most of them try and force feed you their PC BS. If you are looking for someone who is not afraid to tell it like it is , speaks his mind and will keep you laughing with his sharp wit, then definitely subscribe to "The New York City Crime Report". Between the shows on here and the 50+ episodes on compound media theres plenty of material to keep you going for a while. I can't get through these episodes fast enough. Being a NY native its hysterical to hear guests on this show that I grew up with or worked with at one time or another. Give this show a chance and help to expand platforms like this for all artists to speak their minds , you won't be disappointed, unless you lived your whole life in a bubble and you know everything about what's going on in the world from social media, SNL and Family guy!
Was excited about this podcast but couldn't get past the first five minutes of the first episode without having to listen to clichéd racial stereotypes. It comes off as sad, corny, and old. Many people here might say you don't have to listen to it, and they are completely right, I don't.

Fun
Why Pat isn't a bigger name I have no idea. Lightning quick, intelligent and unafraid to talk about anything and everything. Worth a listen for sure.
Nice job ., one could learn a lot from a podcast such as this
Not for those who don't understand obscene humor. Drop your faith in humanity at the door
You have to love this show it is funny, irreverent, offensive and all types of politically incorrect. If you are wondering whether this show is worth your time then wonder no more hit subscribe and prepare for lulz. Ps go to compound media dot com for the video version. And slip a buck to this guys paetreon for the old episodes.
