It's sometimes difficult to convey relevance of this time period to people of diverse interest. This podcast acknowledges that and, instead of hammering the same facts in the same way, provides a multidimensional, multiple discipline approach, from straight history to art, language arts, math (of all things), and believe it or not, a dash of paleontology. Aside from sounding like the kind of father a Civil War buff could only dream of (it doesn't hurt that Gettysburg seems to be just around the corner from his house), his integration of these diverse disciplines, if nothing else, is an admirable effort to draw people into a subject who (possibly) wouldn't normally be so interested. I highly recommend this to teachers and students of all ages alike. Keep them coming!
