The Questionauts!

Reviews For The Questionauts!

Great show do yourself a big favor and listen.
downloaded thinking would be a trivia/ comedy type show, was neither was just guy making up answers to questions but the made up answers weren't even humorous, Absolute waste of listening time, download "Good Job Brain" instead
I really enjoy this podcast. Wish there was more.
This podcast is mildly amusing, but I don't know that the hosts are smart enough to really pull it off. If the central conceit of the show is that these are men that have spent time learning all of human knowledge, then they should be able to make up some more plausible sounding BS answers, which would be hilarious. As it stands, the answers are just kind of boring and the chemistry is nonexistent. I give three stars because it has made me laugh a few times, but I think I'm going to remove this one from my queue.
No one says that
Very funny and even more so informative.

New episode!! *best day ever*
I think your future shows would be better if you did some of them. So do more shows. Do them and stop not doing them. DO!
Listening to them tell jokes is like watching a gutterball in slow motion. It's pretty boring, and doesn't contain much substance. It's just idle conversation, and it's not even boring in an informative way. It's just boring.
I am a huge nerdist fan, and this is by far the best think nerdist industries has put out on the brand. I love the answers and the dry improv. Keep making things like this. For anyone who liked John Hodgeman's books, this is a great addition to the genre.
Keep them coming, boys! The show is fantastic!
Don't be discouraged by the first couple of episodes. This humor is like a fine brandy. It's an acquired taste.
I am a HUGE fan of the Nerdist podcast, and I heard them plug this... so naturally I downloaded a few. I got them on my iPhone, so I didn't read the full description, and was disappointed when no real information came forth (not blaming them for this ^.^). This would be fine, really, but I felt that the whole tone of the podcast was obnoxious. I appreciate dry humor, I guess not this dry. It seems to be something you either love or hate; sadly for me, it is the latter.
Love this podcast. So funny, so good. Basically as good as pod-cast humor gets. My only question for the Questionauts, why only twice a week. MORE MORE MORE!

Haters gonna hate. Lovers gonna love. All I wanna do is none of the above. I think this podcast is very funny. Don't be discouraged by those who spew meaty balls of dislikes. Just keep working on the show and you'll be right up there with Nerdist. Both podcasts are fantastic, I'm glad you guys got some well deserved attention.
I wasn't sure what I was getting into with this podcast. I love the nerdist podcast and this being part of the nerdist network I had to check it out. I thoroughly enjoyed this. As long as you're not expecting real facts you'll probably find the serious way these guys make stuff up to be funny. Also, I assume the Questionauts will only get better with time.

Gets better at ep 3
It's silly, but fun. Go into it with an open mind.
You guys make being nerdy cool. And thank you for explaining "rap" or is it "wrap" to me.
Lots of fun

A wonderful rip off of Hypothetical Help! Pretty horrible actually...

Love this and everything it stands for. Funny, fresh, factual!
So, after listening to the first episode I gave the second one a try. I expected a live audience to provide a reaction so I could tell if what they were saying was supposed to be funny, but my experiment was quickly halted by the announcers spending 10 minutes asking the audience to be completely silent followed by asking the home listeners to be entirely silent... I was. Are they supposed to be answering questions in a humerous way or just prattling on whatever they come up with that makes no sense to the question asked? Because... Iiii just don't get what they're doing here and I'm not laughing. I love Chris Hardwick and the Nerdist crew. This... is a disapointment.
Some of the bits are taken a bit to far past the funny mark but overall it was pretty funny. Also, free content, stop complaining.
Quite fun
I love the concept of this show and Aaron always makes me laugh. I can't wait for my question to be answered.
Ok, I get it, it's satire. But it's really bad satire. And, more importantly, it just isn't funny. I'm a huge fan of The Nerdist podcast, so when Chris Hardwick put his Nerdist branding on it, I figured it would be enjoyable to listen to. Ugh. It's terrible. I get that it's supposed to be a deadpan satirical delivery, but geez, it should at least be a little funny. These guys are so incredibly boring that it's painful to sit through. I don't understand all the five-star ratings. Are they from Aaron and Justin's friends? Has to be. But don't take my word for it. Mercifully, these episodes are less than 25 minutes apiece, so it won't take you long to reach the same conclusion. Go ahead and download one. You'll see.
Get with the game, people! These guys are hilarious! They are taking these questions (I don't think they look at them before hand), and making an awesome improv game out of them! I don't understand why people are confused about what these guys are doing! These are people who would say, "I turned on NBC to watch the news at midnight on Saturday, and instead Seth Meyers just told a bunch of jokes!" I look forward to more episodes!
These guys feel like the kind of friends I'd want to have hanging around - clever, creative, dry humor. I love that in a day and age of people taking themselves WAY too seriously, these guys are bringing a little levity to the world of podcasts. Thanks for the laughs Questionauts! (btw, what's with the critical reviews complaining that the show doesn't provide real answers?? Everything these guys say is true. ;) Clearly the complainers did not read what the podcast is all about or don't understand the difference between...oh, forget it...).
Not sure about the other reviewers who seem so angry that The Questionauts are not providing a show that they never, ever promised to provide. This is improv-ed silliness, not straight information. There are other, far more boring podcasts out there where people answer questions without being hilarious. Go listen to them if you're so dull, why don't you?
i was listening on the metro and kept cracking up - everyone was staring! Great stuff - love it
By Nerdist!! No mention on any Pdcsts! Nice going hardwick:)
Very funny! Reminds me of Second City in Chicago -- quick, dry, and hilarious improv. Ridiculous and absurd. Keep 'em coming!

they do a good job of taking their answers in directions you might not expect. I look forward to hearing more from them!
Guys, the show isn't intended to be educational, it's satire. They're improvising the answers! Give it a listen--this show has a sensibility that unravels like a good long spool of string until you have a whole mess of humor on your floor.
Keep up the good work.
Super funny and diverting podcast. These guys are improv geniuses.
If Over the top cliche bits is your thing here it is.
I was totally disappointed in this, I thought it would be something along the lines of The Straight Dope, but it appears to be the most ludicrious answers the two hosts can come up with on the spot. I am a big fan of Nerdist and most nerds that I know want to know the real answer to questions not made up, semi funny answers. That is what Wikipedia is for.
Is this supposed to be funny? These two morons and trying so hard that it is painful to listen to. I love, love, love the Nerdist podcast, but the Questionitwits are sullying the good name of Father Hardwick and Brothers Ray and Mira.
I really did. But it's just making me sad. John Hodgman made fake facts funny by basing them off real things. This is not based off anything and is completely made up. Which could be funny but instead sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard inside my brain. I'm all for irony but each episode is 20 plus minutes of intellectually induced nausea. And what's up with the fake live audience and concert hall effect in the second episode?
Are they trying to be funny? If you are a comedian then act like one. Dont try to sound serious if you want people to laugh.
I was expecting to have quirky facts anwered in a quirky way by a couple quirky guys. Instead it's two guys with no discernible knowlege of anything trying to be funny by ad-libbing answers to legitimately interesting questions. Unfunny and uninteresting. Don't bother.
You are either going to love this one or hate it. Fortunately, I love it!!! I hope it gains a following. I would think that if you love the Nerdist you will love Questionauts!
I can't believe they sponsored this garbage. It's dry and unfunny. I tried both episode and I want that hour of my life back.

Super funny podcast. Looking forward to hearing more.
One of the best podcast out there and pretty genius to boot. These guys are trained comedy professionals...and that makes all the difference.
I downloaded it thinking it would be informative and a bit quirky. Sadly, it was neither. As they started to talk, it was obvious there wouldn't be any real information. So I waited for the funny. And waited. And waited more. Download "how to do everything" instead.
