So it took me a while to warm up to these guys. I listen to several Disney podcasts, often times right before I go to sleep. I finally figured out that I was setting myself up to dislike them. I'll explain. Because they've got such a rapport and have so much fun, they end up a lot louder than most other podcasts...so where other podcasts put me to sleep (let's put aside what that says about them--or me--for now) this one kept my attention. Then I stayed up late to finish listening. Then I was all grumpy from lack of sleep. Once I figured that out, it was easy to lay aside my quibbles, listen during the day instead, and love this podcast.
These guys have a true love for 'Disney Stuff' that shines through. That love includes criticism when needed, praise when deserved, and a thoughtful, engaging conversation--during which they never lose sight of the importance of humor--no matter what.
The bros who took over WDW Today would do well to take a lesson from the gentlemen of MOW. The former are a prime example of the perils of forgetting your purpose and alienating much of your audience with your 'bro-ness'. The latter stay true to their purpose and resist the danger of descending into caricatures of themselves.
One of my top 3 podcasts--about any topic, not just Disney. Highly recommend.
