Reviews For IndieFeed: Alternative / Modern Rock Music

i'm having a similar problem... nothing new on my itunes podcast. please fix. i love this podcast!
Is it just me?...Or has the Indiefeed Alternative ended on 5/10/12? Nothing new after that date. Is there a new website for this awesome music?
Unfortunately this is one of those hidden gems that I stumbled across. Needs to be promoted more, or I need to get my head out of the sand to find other web sites such as this. So sad that it took so long. Keep up the good work look forward to future podcasts.
Please check out the Del Toros new album, Young Blood Rising. It's awesome! 5 stars for you as thanks in advance!
get basic info, song more info great set up and long time listener
There are so many good indie music tracks out there and this podcast focuses on them. Brilliant!
This podcast really broadens my music taste by bringing the latest and greatest in a more underground-like fashion. I've found several new bands worth buying albums from. Keep it up guys, and keep it rockin!
I respect the effort of bringing new music to the table every week and I'm fully aware of how difficult it is to please 100% of the people, 100% of the time. It basically comes down to the person picking the tunes having the same tastes as you. That being said, this station constantly disappoints. While I have discovered new bands on here, those discoveries are few and far between. I dont know, maybe it's a reflection of the current state of the music industry but the vast majority of the stuff on here is music you crymax to; music for people who don't want to truly rock. I'll give you an example: Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and The Black Keys are two bands that freakin' rock.....Good guitar, hook-laden choruses. Only 1 of every 25 songs presented has any balls on this station. It used to be that alternative rock was stuff like The Toadies, Pearl Jam, RHCP, My Bloody Valentine, Afghan Whigs, etc. I get excited when I hear "this next song is absolutely amazing.." and then I get an earful of wuss rock. Not cool, brosef.
Discovered several great bands through this podcast. Stuff like Jay Reatard and Deertick. It's amazing!
I am currently trying to become a hipster, and this definitely helps to fill the obscure music requirement. The songs definitely sound different than anything on the radio, and since you get the entire song for free, it is much easier to find awesome bands you've previously never heard of and decided to listen to simply because they have a cool name. Now all I need are some hipster glasses...
these guys really bring quality music every time - even if it's not a style i like that much (i prefer edgy, weird indie to straight-ahead rock indie, for instance) i can still hear that the straight-ahead-rock stuff is REALLY GOOD straight ahead rock!. and the edgy stuff is always interesting, high quality and well worth a listen. the format is great to, a song every day or two, i just let them build up for a while, then go through and find a bunch of new bands to like, usually bands i've never at all even heard of... ps. i just came here to five star it and give it a big thumbs up, hit "comment" and discovered i'd already done it, what, a year ago? that's how cool this podcast is! it's my favorite music podcast. perfect formatting style: one song, in it's entirely, then a quick bandbio. i actually like the quick rundowns about the artist at the end of the song too. dude's got this great geek-meets-casey kasem delivery, and sums up what you might want to know about the bands quite nicely. i like the hip hop and electronica feeds too, so if you see your favorite subgenre on the indiefeed page, you might check that out too.
Free good music. Short ad in the beginning and a great description by a smooth voice? at the end? Free as it gets. (: I actually enjoy the little education and background of the group on each song. Almost a history lesson on music. Keep it up! :D I love youu. ♥
I've found a lot of new music through this podcast. Great for studying!

The best ever
But hey, that's just me :-) The thing is, the range of music covered is bound to contain some stuff you think is really great as well as some stuff you think is really stinko. You won't know until you listen. Skip the bad, buy the good...
It's something that can get you addicted really easily. Has too many good songs to count and is somehow able to get the songs that could become your new favorites.
A fabulous podcast, I hope it runs forever. Great music from great artists and acts as an mere introduction to you're next favourite band. Long Live IndieFeed. Hoorah for excellent, Non-Mainstream music.
Thanks for all the fantastic new music.
Friendly, knowledgable hosts that provide great music that would [on your own] take months or years to find; quick track intros, a full song, then a brief description of what was just played and where to buy the rest of the album or EP; tons of genres and bands, each one incredible in their own right; Each track and episode is free. I've been listening to IndieFeed since 2007 I believe. I've listened to nearly every podcast and out of the thousands of tracks IndieFeed has introduced me to, there may be literally only a single track I didn't absolutely love and that's only due to poor audio quality on that one single track. If you haven't already, you need to subscribe to each channel and give their episodes a good listen. If you still can't bring yourself to give this podcast community a 5-star rating, there's no possible way you're human.
Just wanted to express my gratitude as a huge fan of your podcast. Your words do not fall on deaf ears. Keep the good music comin! I have been listening to the alternative/modern rock pocast since 2006. I must have about 300 episodes! Definetely one of the best podcasts out there. I actually stumbled upon it while trolling for free music one day and have been hooked ever since. Much love.
I love you guys!!!!!!!! Keep picking great hits!!!! I am obsessed!!!!!!!!!!
I live in a remote area in the mountains very isolated from any urban area that would offer insight into new music. When I am in a music slump all I need to do is start going through my indie feed list to find a great new band or song that i love. There is no better way to find new music for FREE. Check out the episode realeased 3/17/09; A song called "For real" by Made.
I used to love this podcast. But now I can't listen to it any more, because I think if I have to listen to that Chris guy say anything else, ever, I will go insane. I know this isn't really a great review, because I love the music selection of this podcast, but I can't stress enough just how annoying Chris's voice is. Seriously. I can't take it anymore.

This sorts out only the best and gives it to all us viewers. I'm so happy to have this podcast, and everyone who is thinking about it should subscribe. Thank you all.
I came across this podcast not to long ago and I kinda glad. The music is good but it's not all amazing. Most of the songs sound to indie and alternative. I would like for them to put other indie bands that sound somewhat more mainstream but still indie .hell yeah

Awesome-awesome-awesome
I've been getting new music from Indiefeed for at least a couple years now, and love it. The artists are fresh, diverse, and just plain good. The songs come with a brief commentary, that is short enough that it's not a bother, but enough that it's interesting, tells me where the band is from and how I might have heard of them (aka other projects, etc). The podcasts come in frequently enough that I always have something new ready to be queued up. When push comes to shove, this is GREAT NEW INDIE MUSIC for FREE! What else do you want?!
The postcast is simple - a song from a new artist every few days. You get to hear music you might not have, find new artists and widen your exposure. The only bad thing - you'll find music you love and rush out and buy the artists' album!!!
Great way to discover new good alt rock. I'm never disappointed in the music and often amazed.
A great source for fresh Alternative Modern Rock.
Great podcast. Even if every song isn't a new favorite, the variety is great. (I personally have gotten quite a few new favorite songs from the podcast.)
I love being able to listen to full length songs when making new music decisions, they even give a small bio after the track!! Sweet! Indiefeed has really helped me find new fresh tracks to add to my collection!! Keep it up!!!!!
This is exactly what I want MY podcast to do. It plays great new music for free!
I love these songs, no bloated ego narrator just the song and something short afterwards. I end up buying about half the stuff I hear. Nice way to hear new music.
I am in my 40's and a fan of 80's New Wave/Punk/Alternative. When I got my first iPod, I wanted to find a podcast that would help me get in touch with today's music. I'm so glad I found this one -- great job and thank you!
Just one song, an intro, and a little information about the band and where you can find out more.
What a great way to listen to fresh music. And you can't beat the price. Granted, not every song is a hit in my book, but folks at Indiefeed keep a variety of tunes coming, so you're sure to come across something you like. The "Pop Music" feed led me to purchase a recent Monahans album I would never have discovered otherwise, but now consider a favorite. Considering I purchase just a couple albums per year, that's a pretty significant influence! Keep the tunes coming...
When I first learned about IndieFeed a few years ago, I was surprised and delighted to find a source of new alternative music hitherto unknown to me. I did not expect most of the songs to be very good, but I am floored by the consistency of quality. It is rare that I dislike a song on the podcast. Most of them are enjoyable and a rather large number of them are excellent and have joined my personal top one hundred. I would never have known about the Pinker Tones if not for IndieFeed and I now consider them one of my favorite bands. Chris MacDonald's highly informative and articulate commentary notwithstanding, I have paid for music I learned about from this podcast so I could have the tracks on their own. I still love his descriptions though. Even the songs I do not like so much are redeemed by the commentary simply because I learn something about myself and my own preferences. IndieFeed is podcasting at its best. It has given me more than I could ever repay through a review or a periodic purchase.
One song at a time with a quick bio and a context of the band. Love it. Well done.
Good music selections, very reliable for interesting new stuff. Great to hear a little more about each band. I pick up lots of new music from this podcast.
I don't have time to go searching for the best, latest music. Indiefeed brings it to me twice a week in every genre I want to listen to. I will never stop listening!
If not you got to get it. IndieFeed has a great music selection, and in a time when music is constantly changing and there is more music than anyone could ever stay on top of it is a great way to find new music and new bands. Love IndieFeed
Perfect! One track and all of the information I need.
This is one of my go-to sources for fresh alt rock and modern rock, delivered straight to my iTunes. Check it out!
A great way to discover new music and new bands. I've really enjoyed what I've heard so far, and I can't reccommend these guys enough.
I really enjoy the descriptions of the bands... great music too
Check out thier other podcasts too.
