This podcast truly marries useful finance tips and insights with human stories about finance professionals. It’s such a great mix of information any company can apply today and the characters and personal stories behind that info. The combination makes each episode memorable and valuable.
I have an MBA and I really enjoy this show. Jack asks probing questions that get into the mind of his guest. I feel like I’m a fly on the wall listening to a couple of intelligent movers and shakers sharing their most important business secrets. This show is a must-listen for anyone who aspires to be a leader in the business world.
Impressive unique show that gives the serious professional the tool they need to evolve in the business world. Nice work. Great podcast. Highly recommend!
Finance drives business but how CFO’s interact with the rest of the management team to facilitate growth while managing costs is a key element of success. Jack Sweeney does an excellent job of talking with finance leaders and understanding their approach to managing businesses and their views on the ever evolving role of the CFO.
Jack, as a new CFO, I love the interviews and learning from your guests. But... C’mon Jack, budget $500 and buy a microphone and controller to level your audio. Please.
The content of this podcast is fantastic, but the fluctuations in volume and sound quality are horrendous. At times the sound problems and quality make this podcast unbearable. The sound problems are only made worse because the content is so good. I often have to stop listening because the host and the guest are at such different volumes.
It’s unfortunate, but the production almost makes the podcast unlistenable. The host drifts in and out from his microphone and the guest audio is far lower in volume than the host. I spend a lot of time managing the volume instead of focusing on content. Someone needs to listen to the podcast and level the audio.
The beauty of this show is how the interviewer asks each CFO guest to reveal their path to the c-suite. There are certainly some commonalities but there are also some startk differences. One question - one very revealing question.
The guests on this podcasts bring great knowledge and content, but the host is a horrible interviewer. He asks everyone the exact same questions and the conversations have the worst sound quality I’ve heard in the digital age.
Jack, host of CFO Thought Leader, highlights CFO driving change. Jack and his expert guests off insightful advice that is helpful to anyone that listens.
I love this podcast and its goal of inspiring and guiding finance executives. There is so much we can learn from people who have "been there" and are willing to share the successes and challenges they experienced along the way. There is no better teacher than experience and the wisdom other CFOs and finance executives are willing to share to make our journey just a little bit easier.
In most businesses leadership must assume a variety of roles. The CFO's job has its own specific obstacles and challenges, Sweeney addresses many of these challenge well. Bravo.
The concept is great. I enjoy hearing the insights of experienced CFOs with developed careers.
As the title states the audio is awful. It appears that the guest and interviewer are on the same audio track. When I turn it up to hear the interviewee and the interviewer speaks my ears are blown out, as well as when advertisements play.
This is a show with some great guests with concrete leadership success. Episode 161 really caught my attention with how to best integrate technology into a business without getting bogged down with the “processes.”
Jack Sweeney hit a home run with this podcast! Finance is the heartbeat and life blood of a business and it needs a well informed leader at the helm. This podcast serves that purpose.
Outstanding insights uncovered and shared through this podcast! So glad I found it and tuned it. highly recommend for any CFO’s or those who want to become a CFO.
What a phenomenal idea for a podcast - who wouldn't want to learn from CFO thought leaders who are full of innovative and brilliant ideas? A "must listen to" for sure!
Coming from a corporate environment... suddenly some of the forces that jerk me around seemingly without reason suddenly gained some clarity. Adding to my regular rotation, I like expanding my horizons... thanks Jack!
Wow, it’s so inspiring to hear these leaders in the financial realm talk about their expertise and share their insights to people like me who are not so “financially adept”. Highly recommended!
I am not in the world of finance but the first episode got to me and I have been listening to every show. The mind set that these guys have and conversations on strategy are extremely valuable. Great Podcast and keeps getting better.
The concept for this podcast is simple, but at the same time brilliant. Speaking to innovative CFOs is not only a great conversation for CFOs to listen to, but also for those who interface with CFOs. This is a great podcast to get an insider’s view of what CFOs are thinking and doing in our new post 2008 world. My hat is off to Jack and Steve for smart and informative show!
With almost 30 years experience in managing and advocating for budget at a public university, I really like listening to both new and well seasoned professionals with a business point of view. Thank you! CFOthoughtLeader! I have already shared with my colleagues. We all have a level of excellence and a bottom line to manage.
Ok, my subject line says it all. This podcast is interviews with actual CFOs...That's pretty rare. The CFO narrative is changing! The role has changed and business is changing with it.
