Reviews For O'Reilly Data Show Podcast

Ben and his wide variety of knowledgeable guests are truly rockstars! They drop quality (and free!) knowledge bombs in each and every episode. The great advice they provide, combined with the relatable way in which they deliver it had me hooked from the very first listen. Thanks for putting out such a stellar show Ben - keep up the great work!
As others have mentioned, the host interrupts his guests a lot. And it's not in a way that might happen when two people are really engaged and enthusiastic about a topic, but just in a way that suggests the host doesn't know basic manners. His questions, too, sound more like he's doubting what his guests are saying. He really needs to undergo some basic training in how to interview people, because his lack of professionalism makes what should be an interesting podcast unbearable to listen to.
There are really great guest on the show but the interviewer constantly cuts them off. Why have experts on to constantly cut them off?
Great way to catch up on the history and evolution of DS.
Noticed the host tends to interrupt his guests a lot, especially towards the end of the interview. That, coupled with only okay content, led to me to stop listening. I might check it out in the future.
I'm a newb when it comes to big data. I know it's a thing and that its cool, but I don't know how to do anything productive (yet?). For me this podcast is very helpful in that sense that I'm listening to the insiders in their native setting. There's a lot of terminology employed, but if you hang in there you find that after a bit you know this from that. I'm learning a lot. Now, I just have to do something actual.
