In The Mouth Of Dorkness Podcast

Reviews For In The Mouth Of Dorkness Podcast

I typed it before and I’ll type it again! I do love this podcast. I’ve only listened to the sorry to bother you and teen titans episodes so far but the wealth of perspective is so welcome in this derivative nerd scene I’ve found myself in. I love the smooth transitions between segments and the punny nature of that process not to mention the format in general is just nice while I’m up late working on whatever project or what have you at 1-2 am it’s good to have these longer form pods for easy listening as well as car rides when you want to be like half engaged so you stay awake but you also don’t want to spend the brain energy jamming to whatever Spotify playlist that doesn’t know how to properly shuffle! Keep up the good work guys! Love it so much!! If you want to plug I’m just @chandlerly on twitter but that’s more for conversation, if you want to see my Instagram though that’s got all the stuff I make on it and that’s “Chandlerlyte” see ya around! Need that “Into the Spider Verse” And “Venom”love reviews on reload because no one in my area cares enough to listen to all my dumb theories!!! Till next time!
I listen to so many podcasts it's almost chore to keep up but ITMOD takes precedence as soon as I see it downloading. Even though my opinons on CERTAIN MOVIES get oversimplified and subsequently savaged (I'll get my revenge one day *maniacal laughter*), I can't help but love these guys. Nothing to plug just really appreciate what you guys do! It's like visiting with good friends twice a week.
This is one of my FAVORITE podcasts. The Dorks have such great insight and discussions about all things nerd. I love how they can respectfully disagree with each other and always get a good laugh out of each episode. Keep up the great work Dorks!
No one rambles about Cinema quite like these Dorks.
In the words of Big Baby Jesus, Wu-Tang is Foreva and so is the ITMOD. This show is a delightful stream of consciousness that stems from the love of the cinema to TV to graphic novels to entertaining life events. From the first time to Brad had his first sip of Lemonade, to the night on the town with Disco & Turtle in San Diego to Lisa's way with words when one small comment takes her mind to the same filth where I'm sure movies like Wetlands and Gummo was made. Look forward to more of this in 2017 and how far they will expand with their interviews. Keep going and have a Good Day and a Greater Tomorrow!
The ITMOD podcast is hosted by some of the most charming people on the airwaves, the witty banter and indepth discussion about film of many genres will brighten your week.
Remember the good ol' days carpooling to high school, packing up your Jansport in the trunk of your beat up old Honda Civic? Then there were those neighbors that you forced yourself to pick up so you can split the gas bill? You are now trapped in a car with those neighbors who talk incessantly about the latest movies, tv shows, comic books and stand up comedy, whether you like it or not. Sure you might have thought those neighbors were were completely bonkers... I mean they try to defend BVS and STAR TREK V, God bless them. But after hearing them over and over they start to become your source for nerdy talk and dorky chatter. And then they become something more than neighbors... They become your favorite geeky group of auditory friends. #NoPantsParty #DemandItmod #WitnessThem - @ACoolHandFluke
This is Black Native. Love the podcast! I like how everyone gets a Dork name, how the cast is balanced as far as airtime, the homework is really dope because it lets the casters into each other's worlds of dorkdom & they bond over getting insight on each other through media! The different themes like WeekendDork, Fistfull, InterviewCast and the aforementioned HomeworkCast break up the motonony that can be had with podcasts.

I just started listening to these guys and already love them. I'm all about championing underappreciated and misunderstood films, so their genuine enthusiasm for often maligned movies really spoke to me. All four Dorks share common tastes, but each one brings his or her own slant to the discussion. They aren't afraid to disagree or go against the popular consensus. It's consistently funny without being snarky. Between the four of them, they span pretty much the whole of geek culture. There is a lot of diversity in there topics, they know how to keep things interesting. I'm hooked, and I recommend ITMOD to anyone who digs genre cinema.
Really dig this podcast. It's great that each Dork has a different opinion on the subjects. I personally like the comic talk, And wish I had a super sweet comic book book club. I also find it funny to read that last sentence as, "comic. Book book club" I think the new format is really great to by dividing sections into different casts. Like the homework cast. This week in dork. Etc. it helps cut down on the 3 hour commitment. Lastly. Please stop calling it the "ITMOD cast Podcast". It's redundant. 😡 "ITMOD cast" or "ITMOD Podcast " is acceptable. Keep it dorky Eric Pegleglheureux
This podcast is both fun and inspiring. The groups high level of passion and entusiasm is infectious. They discuss the things I love about movies, tv, & comics, in a way that makes you feel included. I listen to this podcast every week, and it renews my excitment for cinema and inspires me to try new films. The diverse opinions and natural flow of the conversation means that there is something here for every listener.
A great podcast, giving a 1 star as two of the hosts encouraged a 1 star on a recent episode. Not seriously of course, but I do as bid. The best thing about this compared to others is its conversational simplicity; it feels like you're sitting at the bar with friends chatting away. Instead of being formally structured, moves between subjects feel natural as conversation. If you want to listen to fellow fans gush and debate like you and your circle; pull up a chair and give a listen.
I love ITMODCast. The Dorks are truly passionate about geek culture, and that enthusiasm really shines through. They do an incredible job of covering the latest films and pop culture trends. In fact, wanting to listen to each new podcast as it is released has made me up my game to be sure I’m up to speed on the latest films myself so I can be an active listener in their conversations. The chemistry within the group is really fantastic, and I especially love it when they don’t agree on a topic. Insightful, exciting, and hilarious.
These pals really know their geek stuff. Love the film talk. Love the chemistry.
My husband and I love listening to the show. The hosts really know what they are talking about and are genuine movie lovers. Plus, we love hearing reviews about obscure films (new and old) that we adore. Our friends don't watch a lot of indie flicks so for us this is our chance to "hang" with friends and share our thoughts.
I met MouthDork and TheDiscoDork at the Lost Weekend III film festival and started listening because of their daily recaps. It was really cool to hear them discuss things I like with similar views to my own on them all. I've since listened to some old episodes and this week's most recent and I'm now a listener for the life of the podcast. Thanks guys for being so awesome
Despite these chaps being friends of mine, I still thoroughly enjoy this wonderful podcast. I only say this because they constantly surprise and entertain in ways I do not expect, despite having known one of them for over a decade. The three hosts, and often guests, always come across as knowledgable and enthusiastic, especially for the hidden gems that most people miss. I listen to this everyday on my walk to work and I know I get sideways glances from them due to my cackling. Darren is a master at keeping the conversation flowing; Brad is quick with his color commentary; and Matt adds the perfect amount of misanthropic "get off my lawn" sensibility. Well done lads!
When you listen to these friends, you can hear the passion and enjoyment for films and comics. You're guaranteed to be entertained. I'm far from being a movie buff, I'm pretty much a novice. However, when I tune in, it's like I'm in their living room and their enthusiasm is transferable. Each episode is better than the last. This podcast has great potential. Keep rising and keep going!
I have to say that show has at times a very good flow, almost high production value-esque. I look forward to the New Year and watching movies from their suggestions and reviews. The only complaint I have is the volume that the show records at. I don’t know if it’s on their end or what but I have my volume up to max and I can barely here any of them if another sound enters the room. But besides that, great shows. I look forward to more!
These folks know what they're talking about. It's a wide base of knowledge and friendly enthusiasm. Reminds me of conversations with my friends about movies and comics. Check it out!
Really enjoyable podcast. Hosts have a great chemistry with each other and knowledge of subjects, be it obscure films, graphic novels, tv shows or all things "dork". Highly entertaining and I look forward to each new episode.
If you want to get lost in discussions of geeky stuff, this is your one stop shop. Not only are these guys' enthusiasm contagious, but their encyclopedic knowledge is exceptional! Don't be surprised if you find yourself talking back to your smart phone. A must listen.
