I listen to Andy's podcasts when I am doing 'my version' of interval training in a hilly desert near my home. He is fascinating, his topics are engaging, and ask I listen I think that everyone would feel more in tune, energized, and hopeful if they gave him a listen. Thanks for putting this together and making it something I look forward to everytime I head out to take care of 'me'.

great insight from someone who clearly is in the movement/wellness field for the long term...always has something that makes you stop, reassess-a great "calibration" podcast
Thank you! I needed that! I am sincerely grateful for Mr. Petranek and WLC for posting and making this podcast available! I sincerely found it hopeful and healing! I sent it to my adult children with a love letter. I wish I had those tools while I was raising them! It's not to late! As my mentor would say,,,"Kelly, don't be so hard on yourself! Put a sock in it!"
Andy has a wonderful way of getting his guests to relax and open up in a fun and informative way. His guests provide real value and when combined with The Whole Life Challenge the value is enormous. Oh, and he has the best laugh ever!
What I love about these podcasts is not only are they filled with interesting guests that help you up your game in fitness and in life - but having known and learned from Andy over the years, it's great to get to know him better because of the personal and revealing approach he takes with his guests. I listen often when I am on long bikes/runs and always come away with something that can further my growth as a human being. Thanks Andy.
Interesting, informative and intriguing. Great for WLC participants and non-participants alike. Andy is fantastic at down-to-earth and relevant interviews of various individuals in the health, wellness, fitness, nutrition and life management areas. Great conversational style. I'm always left feeling like I've learned something relevant and valuable, often giving me a perspective I hadn't considered. Time well spent!
Hi Andy and Podcast family... hey just a quick review of this Podcast. I normally don't make time for reviews of Podcasts or Apps in general but after listening to episode 147, I gotta tell ya I am motivated and pumped to take action and own my efforts to be a better version of who I am today. This Podcast enlightened me with the knowledge that it's not about a perfect race to the finish... we all have heard the various feel good motivational quotes but seriously these two talk about life, love, diet, exercise, marriage, relationships, I mean the list goes on... the Podcast is nearly 2 hours at length and honestly I didn't want it to end! I was home cleaning our house, actually cleaning the bathroom when Kevin Carter shared about his role in his home... he validated the truth that we contribute in a variety of ways to our relationships at home and that built me up!! That's why I write this review, because in the end these Podcasts have built me up and empower me to be a better person every time I listen so thank you Andy for the consistant giving and sharing of wisdom, kindness, and overall goodness!
I love this podcast. I have learned so much about health, wellness, the human condition, and bettering myself from these shows. I love how real Andy is, how he keeps it fun and interesting while interviewing some really amazing people. I’ve heard about some great books from these interviews, which have now changed me. Keep doing what you’re doing!!
I was introduced to this podcast while doing a Whole Life Challenge two years ago. I’ve been listening ever since! The interviews are interesting and informative. Andy is a great conversationalist. Thanks for putting out such great content. :)
Andy often asks the exact same questions I’m thinking. I always wonder, “Does he really not know either?” OR is he asking because he knows we don’t know? He makes me feel included, like I’m a part of the conversation. His podcasts and guests are informative, uplifting, and motivating.
Andy’s podcast is my favorite. I focus on wellness, fitness and heath insights -and his perspective and inspiring guests connect all of the dots on simplifying our lives though smart management of how we treat ourselves. My favorite guests so far have been Garry Lineham, Jason Fung - and today I listened to Diana Rodgers - and I was blown away - littlerally a must hear. I don’t want to downplay other great guests as well. Andy asks the questions I would ask, portrays no ego, and makes me laugh. Keep it up Andy!
Podcasts were not a part of my world until I joined the Whole Life Challenge. Now I routinely search Andy Petranek’s library for episodes that promise to be interesting and/or inspiring. After enjoying the Garry Lineham interview (twice), then hearing the conversation with Anela Lineham, I felt compelled to write a glowing review. Their stories, like those of many of Andy’s guests, brightened my day. Listening to the Lineham podcasts made my ears smile, so I thank Andy for that.
I discovered the podcast from doing the Whole Life Challenge. I am loving the podcast and am so excited. Andy's guests are always really interesting and deeply knowledgeable. I teach a unique high school elective science class called Body & Mind where students learn both the science of how our mental and physical selves are intricately linked and then we practice techniques like mediation, mindfullness, and yoga. I want to refresh, update, and deepen the pieces I do about nutrition and exercise and the podcast is an amazing resource. My reading list is growing every day and I couldn't be happier. Andy has turned my commute from wasted time to educational and inspiring. Andy and his guests always have a great vibe and are upbeat in an infectious way. Listening always leaves me with lots of positive energy as well as learning.
Started to listen to the Human Garage episode and got completely turned off. There's 15 minutes of rambling before the actual podcast. Listener beware.
There is no substitute for direct experience, and Andy has spent his life with his feet in the dirt from the Marine Corp in Iraq and Panama to opening one of the first CrossFit gyms in the world. When Andy speaks, it isn’t from a theory, or an opinion, it is from the direct experience that can only come from being in the thick of things. My highest recommendation for a podcast subscription.
I came to the podcast via the Whole Life Challenge and Andy Petranek's Living Room workouts. I liked Andy from the workout videos, so I thought I'd check out the podcast. I'm incredibly happy I did. I listen to a lot of podcasts that focus on ideas, philosophy, and so on. Some are serious; some more light-hearted. I especially love the Whole Life podcast because it involves conversations between interesting people who love what they do. Andy is gracious and sharp. He's always prepared for the interviews and asks exactly the questions I would if I got to talk to his guests. And, he does have the most compelling people on as guests. What I like most is Andy's humanity. He shares his experiences, his stories, his struggles with fitness, nutrition, and so on. One especially cool moment in an earlier episode was when he was recording an episode and a contractor interrupted the podcast. I thought to myself, "Andy is a real person." An obvious thought I know, but I think it's cool that someone with his discipline is also someone I can relate to. And, he seems to get his guest really excited about their work and passions. This is a great and rare skill in an interviewer. I learn something and am inspired every time. You should check out this podcast.
I love this podcast! Andy always has super interesting people from all sorts of health and wellness industries. He’s a great interviewer and he’ll get you interested in stuff you never even knew existed!
I was on the hunt for new and interesting information on health and fitness when I bumped into the Whole Life Challenge podcast. I’ve listened to episodes 122 through 125 one right after the other and was compelled to purchase two books that I’m pumped to read. I’m getting exactly what I was looking for. This is a great listen! I look forward to more.
No matter who you are, or where you’re at in life - this podcast is for you! Andy is incredibly inviting and will make you feel like you have a place here as a listener. Each guest will leave you with a nugget of inspiration to go out and try new things. WLC has been incredibly positive in my life and the community is fantastic - you’ll finish each episode uplifted and empowered to make change in your life. Highly recommended!
This is my third time doing the whole life challenge, but for some reason I have deprived myself of listening to the podcast! I’m so glad I started listening. Andy has wonderful guests and great conversations about very important issues. Each episode teaches me new information that pushes me to work even harder during the challenge and will stay with me between challenges. Also, Andy’s laugh kills me. Great energy :)
Just listened to the Drew Logan podcast during a workout and loved it. Andy and Drew had an engaging conversation that shared information.
Very interesting interview with Dr. Fung had me itching for more depth so I was compelled to check out Dr. Fung's website and blog. I found there some more stuff about exercising and fasting. I've bonked in the past even without fasting so was curious...still am.
A goal of mine for 2018 is to keep up w these podcasts to keep me focused on the path to better health. I love theWLC but I need to maintain the focus beyond the challenge. Love these podcasts to continue the education and reminder on my health. Not just food and exercise but my overall happiness and well being. Great job with the podcast! Keep up the good work!!
What more could you ask from a podcast? Andy is the ultimate host. He interested, interesting and funny. I love listening to his conversations with leaders from the health, fitness and personal development domains. I first found out about this podcast when I did the Whole Life Challenge the first time. I’m a podcast junkie who listens to over 40 on a regular basis. (I know, a bit obsessed). I only say that because I am very picky about adding new podcasts to my queue. This podcast almost immediately went to the top of my queue and is among my very favorite. It provides such timely and important information to me as I actively seek a more healthy and balanced lifestyle. With so much information and avenues to pursue out there, I take comfort in Andy’s ability to sift through the noise as he identifies key topics and interviews people at the top of their game. I love his easygoing style and genuine interest in the topic at hand. Add this podcast to your queue if you want help in developing the best you!
Very informative and accessible. Wonderful to hear a doctor simply say that we've be believing the wrong thing and that we've been manipulated by the food industry.
Episode 123 with Patrick McKeown was amazing. My breathing has always been an issue, I always thought that I just needed to exercise more to get my breathing and heart rate down. I really need to refocus my efforts on my breath. Much more conscious of breathing through my nose as much as possible and started working on the breath hold exercises. This is my first WLC, this podcast is becoming part of my morning routine as I get everyone ready for the day.
This podcast is chock-full of useful information from experts in all fields related to health and well-being from nutrition to exercise to mindfulness. Andy doesn't take himself too seriously and is able to moderate the interviews in a way that makes the information not only useful but not intimidating to the average person. Add this to your must-listen list!
Thanks Andy for your efforts and time. You select amazing guests who talk about very meaningful and interesting topics. Your topics are instructive and all geared toward making us better humans -physically, mentally and I believe spiritually. I look forward to every edition of your podcast.
Hi Andy. Taking part in my first Whole Life Challenge and also my first listen to your podcast. I so enjoyed episode 123 with Patrick McKeown I immediately went and bought his book, The Oxygen Advantage. Your podcast also tied into the first week of the WLC which was well planned. Keep up the great work.
I started listening to Whole Life at the beginning of the year. I enjoyed Andy's interview style. Everytime he laughs I crack up. It's great during my commute. More importantly, the interviews are relatable, useful, and give me ideas to add to my own "whole life program." The interview with Patrick McKeown was amazing. I immediately added parts of this program into my daily training and I'm already seeing results. Sorry Andy. I know quite a few people, but not Oprah. Now to catch up on the back catalog...
Wanted to listen to the interview with Jill but felt like there was way too much talking before the interview started so I ended up not getting there and turning it off.
This is one of my favorite podcasts and I look forward to listening each time I get in my car. Andy has great guests and his laugh is infectious. Like other reviewers, I find his podcasts very motivating and informative - looking forward to listening more in the New Year! Keep up the great work! - RK
Thank you for this great episode. I find myself holding my breath at times and I know how bad that is so this episode was a great reminder of the importance of breathing. I have been taking a time out a couple times a day to focus on something positive and just breathe. I’m excited to listen to your other Episodes. Best Regards, Tonya
This podcast is great if you want to learn more about health and American healthcare. I listened to the podcast about our healthcare system and how if we continue on the same path we could be in great danger of going broke. His take on paleo and how it could help with this issue is very interesting to say the least! I myself could implement some of the aspects of paleo into my life to become healthier. His takes on our broken healthcare system is very interesting!
This was the first WLC podcast I listened to and really enjoyed the positive energy, inspiring information, good humor and casual conversation style. I look forward to listening to many more!
Really enjoyed listening to this Podcast! I took my first break from social media( not as in depth as no phone at all, but it's all about the baby steps, right?) it was so refreshening to not start my day with all the noise we find on social media now a days. I was shocked at the amount of free time I had. I can absolutely agree with the not wanting to give it up at first and then not wanting it back by the last day. This is a great listen! I have a few friends who are really big on the Spartan races, so It was neat to listen to the way Joe will train those who look to compete and how they use kettle balls due to the multiple ways to incorporate them for preparation of different carries during the races.

Thanks for providing such interesting topics and guests. Andy (and Mike in this one!) is a natural; he is obviously and genuinely interested in his guests. One gets the feeling he is researching his next life adventure!
This podcast touches on the topic of human collaboration and how it brings out the best in our species. It also touches on a variety of subtopics that I found to be interesting: Obstacles and what they reveal about us, societal changes in human interaction and more! As a wrestling coach, I found this particular podcast intriguing because Philip works with "teams" from different corporate giants and his goal is to get them to focus and work together towards a common goal. This is what I attempt in doing for my team and listening to him speak gave me some neat ideas on how I can construct such culture. I really like Andy's quote in the beginning: If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go with others. A must listen!
Warning listening to this podcast will change your life for the better. I can't say enough how this podcast has opened my eyes to be a better person both physically and mentally. I share all the life lessons with my friends and family. My family and I are looking forward to doing our first Whole Life Challenge this January. Thank you for all you do.
Andy does a fantastic job of hosting interesting people from all walks of life. So far these podcasts have been a factor in my own self-improvement which can also be shared with others. Just pick one and get started. You're sure to be drawn in and want more. One other aspect that I'd like to point out is how good of a listener and conversationalist Andy is. He doesn't interrupt or talk over his guests constantly like some other podcasts I've heard and has good timing with even better questions and topics. RMIS (Ben)
A wonderful podcast that offers tips and tricks about life, business and health!
Andy has some really great ideas when it comes to overall fitness and nutrition. He has a wide variety of guests and his upbeat attitude keeps you listening. Keep it up Andy! Thanks for making the ride to work more enjoyable.
Have been listening for over six months now. First heard you on wodcast podcast. Of course went back and listened to all the shows. My favorite ones are 74 and 85 on sleep. That is my problem with working the night shift as a police officer. Keep up the great work. Thanks for the laughs on wodcast by mooning Eddie
The guests always have a wide variety of interesting perspectives on self-motivation and avenues for success in life. Always worth a listen.
As a biohacker and podcast afficianado, I sometimes get a bit burned out listening to many of the same talking heads hawking thier latest products, books, etc. The Whole Life Challenge Podcast is different. Andy Petranek has a knack for lining up outstanding guests and having conversations that are both informative and fun to listen to. When he had Joe Di from Runga fame on, I was literally crying, I was laughing so hard. This has become my favorite place to find great topics and great speakers!
Thanks Andy for your podcast!! I just completed my first Whole Life Challenge and I’m hooked to the program and this podcast. Your laughter is contagious. As I am driving to work I enjoy learning about all of the different ways to stay healthy and what fitness means with all of these amazing guests. There is so much more to exercise and staying fit then I ever thought!
I love listening to the Whole Life Challenge podcast. Andy brings in interesting people who always provide insight and inspiration. What I love the most, however, is the open and reflective way the Andy relates to his guests. We get to know Andy a little bit better with each podcast and that is always a delight!
I’ve been listening to the podcasts since my first challenge in January of this year. The breadth and depth of guests that Andy brings and the candid and authentic interview style has had a tremendous impact in this short period of time. I’ve gone back and re-listened and shared with friends and colleagues some episodes that were really compelling (Coby Kozlowski and Richard Janes have been repeat listens and I still learn something new each time). I’ve been compelled to integrate new practices into my life that have really made a difference (bullet journaling and decluttering). Most importantly, I appreciate the consistent message that perfection is not the goal and that everyone’s journey is unique. Thanks to Andy, I’m introduced to high performers at the top of their game across a diverse array of fields and learn from each of them. While no one loves commuting, this series has made time in a car, plane or train an enriching and enlightening experience.
