Casefile True Crime

Reviews For Casefile True Crime

I enjoy most of this podcast but (1) I skip the child victim episodes, and (2) the ad for Tachi Palace Resort makes me want to throw my phone across the room. I can’t skip it fast enough.
Nothing is better researched, written, or spoken as well as Case File.
This is truly an incredible podcast. Every episode is written well and narrated professionally. I love that cases are told in great detail and that sentences of the convicted are detailed. I’m honestly almost addicted to the sound of the narrator’s voice on top of everything else I love about Casefile.
Straight to the point, focused and factual. Obsessed with the narrators voice! My fav podcast!!!
One of my fave podcasts, but don’t listen to all of them because most are very graphic. Wish you could go easier on the gore and abuse of children.
Love this podcast but too many child victims :(
Best podecast eveaaaaaa my new fav!!!!❤️❤️❤️

Best true crime podcast!!!
I have been listening to true crime podcasts for a decade and have been listening to Casefile for 7 years. Nothing comes close. Nothing. This is the best there is at it and I’m not sure what’s even close.
Like listening to a record on 1/4 speed.
Please label the podcasts as solved or unsolved. What a waste of an hour.
I listen to every episode within minutes of when it comes out. The narration is great, I appreciate that the host/researchers don’t bother family members for soundbytes they can use, and this goes into more detail on cases than any other podcast I’ve listened to.
This extremely well researched and exquisitely narrated series should be required listening for every nascent true crime podcaster.
Casefile: Australian for Podcast!

Binged most of this and it was good stuff at the start but the last year was nothing but repeat episodes packaged as new…WTH?
I’ve listen to this podcast for awhile now and really liked how the information is presented but all of the Child victims episodes are super hard to listen to. This is the 3rd one in a row, so I’ve been skipping the new content. Update : for several seasons now it’s mostly child victims. It’s way too much. Please move on to something else.
So glad I stumbled onto this podcast!! Super interesting.
I am a huge fan of Casefile, I’ve been listening for years. I love the host. The crimes are thoroughly researched and reported with great detail. However, I am NOT a fan of unsolved cases at all. Case 272 was incredibly interesting but I would never have listened had I known it was unsolved! I sure hope this will not be a trend in the future for Casefile.
There is a guy reading a report. Ya send me the copy and I can read I myself. Totally sure other kinds like this.

Hands down the best podcast. I’ve listened for years, never get tired of the storytelling style. Please keep up the great work !!
Pathetic episode regurgitating false narratives of police—if u do any real research you would know of the malicious treatment by the media and police—instead of telling the true story you reveal the shallowness of ur research, will not listen to ur podcast in future
That was an absolute masterclass in storytelling. Perhaps a new high watermark for you all as a team and harbinger of the best being yet to come. Well done.
This podcast has always been one of my favorites. Very well done. The music adds a scary twist.
I just canceled my membership bc they take a 2 month hiatus every holiday and still charge us for premium. It’s also a lot of repeat episodes. The stories are good but definitely do not pay for this.
I see some of you saying this an A.I. voice or that he’s reading Wikipedia. Just so your aware this podcast existed long before A.I voice was even a thing, so stop it. Also he may have a dry style but if you listen thru he weaves a masterful tale of these true stories that you didn’t see coming. Wikipedia doesn’t do that ….stop it! Casefile is still one of the best out there.
Why am I paying for a subscription when they don’t ever come out with new episodes? Why come out with 2 Q&A episodes in a row? I’m not trying to be rude but nobody cares about the Q&A episodes, this is a true crime podcast, not an interview podcast.
Casefile is my favorite true crime podcast. The narration is done storytelling style by a single host with no banter. I love this style and haven’t run into it much elsewhere. The stories are straight forward and still manage to have sensitivity around tough subjects. 10/10
It’s been almost two months and no new episodes have come out. What am I paying for? I love this podcast and I subscribe to it, but where is the content?
One of my top favorite podcasts.. alas, like the true crime victims featured in your bespoke podcasts, you too have vanished without a trace. I can’t support what’s not delivered..Regrettably, goodbye 👋

Is this an AI voice?🤣
It stopped airing last year and they do this a lot. Tired of waiting for a weekly podcast that doesn’t air for months. Unsubscribed.
This podcast used to be amazing but has unfortunately gone downhill ever since introducing a Patreon subscription. I used to be gripped by the stories, but now they’re kinda hard to follow and don’t seem as well researched. The storytelling just isn’t the same. Too bad they sold out just to leave their listeners without content for 3 months.
My favorite podcast. I saw another reviewer say they fall asleep to this, and I do the same thing. Actually can’t sleep without it. The host is amazing and his soothing Australian voice is soo nice :) I’ve been re-listening to old episodes! Miss you guys! Be back soon! Happy new year :)
Hasn’t been a episode in 2 months…. Maybe I’ll get into the podcast business so I can take off 3 months a year….. horrible.
I have to REALLY pay attention to every word or I find myself rewinding multiple times. Sometimes hard to follow.

Great podcast but they take A LOT of breaks and will not put out any episodes for 2 or months months around the end of the year. They also run a lot of reruns of Patreon episodes on the main feed. They could prerecord episodes and put them out while on break like other podcasts do. Seems like creators aren’t that involved in the podcast anymore. I stopped following because of unreliability.
If you like listening to someone read the Wikipedia article in an Australian accent, you will love this podcast.
Why does it sound like Australian AI reading the text?

I fall asleep to this. Respect to all the victims, I pray they are resting peacefully. Who is this Australian man…

Love these
I love the no commentary, no emotion, facts only approach. I've listened to every single episode at least once, most a few times. Hands down the best show on Apple Podcasts
This podcast is my drug.
Casefile was the first podcast I had ever listened to years ago. It’s what got me into crime podcast. I appreciate the storytelling with no comments or biased views. It’s straight to the point, unfortunately not many crime podcast are like this. So I just stick to this one and Voices for Justice. I do skip the children abuse, etc ones cause I can’t listen to those 😭 but I think they do a good job in putting trigger warnings. I also very much love the voice, like I said, I like to hear crime cases with no biased opinions and also tone so I think that’s why I love this podcast so much. There’s many podcast you hear with the narrators laughing, telling jokes or making side comments and I can’t stand that.
I tried a recent episode to begin and couldn’t get past the feeling that it’s AI reading a script. A 2018 episode definitely sounds better and the content is fine
