Ep 63: Gaslighting in Relationships | Black Fly on the Wall Podcast
Featuring: Essence Sylvia Smith, Jeskell Creecy & Taylor Calamese Producer & Host: Aaron Lide Jr Gaslighting is to manipulate (someone) by psychological means into questioning their sanity. Experiences of gaslighting happen on a broad spectrum. Whether it's minimal or extreme, the consistency of gaslighting plays a huge role in how one views mental health, confidence, or relationship well-being. In this episode, we will explore the phenomenon of Gaslighting. Not only from the victim perspective, but also from the antagonist. Have you ever advertently or inadvertently gaslit someone? Lets provide a structured, transparent and honest conversation. Gaslighting is a technique that undermines a person's perception of reality. When someone is gaslighting you, you may second-guess yourself, your memories, recent events, and your perceptions. After communicating with the person gaslighting you, you may be left feeling dazed and wondering if there is something wrong with you. You may be encouraged to think you are actually to blame for something or that you're just being too sensitive
