Resurrected – Renewed Mission - Rich Robinson

God is a sending God and we are a sent people. Jesus' last words are comissioning and sending his disciples, and we are part of that sending. Mission is where we learn the formational ways of Jesus and we experience the transformation of Jesus. Jesus' training of his disciples is on-the-job, but even after three years with him they make mistakes - they are fearful, feeling unprepared. But into this he speaks peace and sends them. Mission involves vulnerability, not going in our own strength, but sent to where the Holy Spirit is already at work. We are a sent and scattered people. God gives peace and purpose as he sends us.
