Unleashing Disciples, Discipleship Tools, and Skipping Dessert-The Wesleyan Potluck Episode 5

Welcome to episode 5 of the Wesleyan Potluck:  here’s a rundown of what we’ll be covering today: In the Lineup we’ll discuss some great discipleship tools The meal will feature a story from Dr. Wayne Schmidt on unleashed disciples The Dessert Table will feature a great John Wesley quote on the people called Methodists and the cleanup is where we will tell you how to become a part of the Potluck community. The Lineup Tim: Crazy Love Small Group Study - Francis Chan (used in Australia with young adults) Staff driven (Take them through books, 7 Habits/Stephen Covey, In the Name of Jesus/Nouwen) - the discussions were discipleship Missions Trips - I started using missions trips as a form of discipleship. Rather than focusing on serving the people in another land, I made it an opportunity to learn from the other people and let the team ask questions. Therefore I became a guide of what God was trying to teach them rather than just the leader who knew it all. But I am afraid lest they should only exist as a dead sect, having the form of religion without the power.
