The vulnerability of women migrant workers in agriculture in the EU: the need for a Human Rights and Gender based approach

The reality of seasonal agricultural work is a harsh one, with generally poor working and living conditions. Undocumented migrants, but also legal ones, can fall victim to illegal practices or even modern form of slavery. Even though women make up a minority of migrant agricultural workers, their risk of exploitation or abuse is compounded by particular gender dynamics.
