Road safety in the EU

We are all affected by road safety. Much progress has been made on road safety in the EU in the past 30 years, and the EU has become one of the safest places in the world. Many challenges lie ahead, however, for example road safety needs to be improved for certain demographic groups and the use of distracting electronic devices on the road needs to be addressed. Here we look at some initiatives led by the EU to combat such issues.
