Broken households have been one of the biggest hurdles in the way of many Somalis in the West to catapult to success. The hosts invited Counsellor Mahamed Habib - a qualified psychotherapist who is part of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) - in order to discuss the following: - What exactly is the definition of a broken household? - Understanding the main reasons for parental abuse, and how we accept & move on from the vicious cycles of trauma. - The lack of emotional awareness and how that hinders the ability to be able to build nurturing relationships filled with compassion. - Empowerment through being in tune with oneself.
